Always love watching your videos. God designed us all differently, I do not re read so I quickly put read books in my car for little free library exchanges. When they pile up, I try to fit little free library ventures into my out and about life. Just don't have enough reading friends to pass them along. Have an amazing day!
Thanks Barbara. I do love watching/seeing how other people set up their books and whether they keep or let go once they're done. There's no right or wrong. Should be a personality test! haha.
I've learned watching you to not be complacent. Styles and tastes change. I've unloaded 100s of books over the past three years. I'm still reading what I own. However, I'm finally at a point where I can scan while dusting and decide to keep or let go. It is a never-ending process, but not thankless. I like how you did like colors. NetGalley update: I didn't reach my 2024 goal. But I just looked I have 3 ... Oh My Krista three books on my shelf published before 2025. Did you hear me scream Yes! I do silently cheer you on. 🤗
Great unhaul. You make it look so easy. Although, im when I reorganized my bookshelf, I took a ton off! Now I need to find time to get them organized for a Pango account. 📚
When my house repairs are done, as I put everything in order, I’m going to unhaul (hopefully) quite a few books. Funny as you went through your shelves I realized I had quite a few of the same books as you😊. I’ve enjoyed this series very much. Thank you!!
@BooksAndJams goals. I'm in college full time and work full time (2 pt jobs every day) And have two adult kids (18 and 20) still home and a husband and a house to take care of. However.....I graduate in May , so I may spend my summer on my shelves. (1,798 books. Don't tell. 🤫 )
Yeah. I just kind of went with my gut. I really did enjoy all the ones I decided to unhaul, but am thrilled with my shelves being organized and cleaned up. I hope someone else will be able to enjoy the unhauled ones for sure.
I love seeing how people arrange their bookshelves. I always group by author and series. I have a seperate bookcase for Christian non fiction and Bible studies and a seperate bookcase(s) for CF, and then a secular bookcase.
I loved hearing your thoughts on keeping certain books. Some I have but not read and it's nice to know you thought they were good enough to keep. I'll move them near the top of my TBR.
We have such similar reading tastes. Added Butterfly Yellow to my TBR. I just saw a video about cleaning out bookmarks, so I did that and I put my MGM one in front to have it ready for MGM.🙂📚
Love this and a look into how someone else organizes. I have all of my books shelved by color because I like the way it looks. Everyone asks me how I find anything. That takes a little upfront work but worth it. I have my books inventories on Library Thing. You can add tags to each book and I tag them with the color I shelf them on. So when I need to find a book, the app tells me what color it is so I know where to look.
It's harder than it looks to color organize books. What do you do with books with multiple colors on the spine? haha. Love that you have them all organized with that app. That's amazing.
I just found a great book for Middle Grade March! It sounds like it would be a great group read. The Outsmarters by Deborah Ellis. She also wrote The Breadwinner, which I am sure you have already read.
I loved the red tent and the red bandanna! I just finished And the mountain echoed by Khaled hosseini. Gave it 2 stars. Loved the kite runner so much but I just got so confused with all the characters.
Usually I keep them there until I have a plan to go to the other places. Then I'll go through and take off some of the oldest ones. I don't have a set rule about it.
I’d love to know your criterion for unhauling. I get ones you didn’t really like and some that you think you won’t reread. Does that mean all the ones you kept you expect to reread? Always enjoy your videos!
I don't know if I could clarify my criteria. I did enjoy almost all of these that I'm unhauling. I don't think I'll reread all that stayed on the shelf. I just went with my gut in the moment.
Great Job!! making room for more books! 🤣 I don't keep much once I've read them - unless it's a classic or think I'll want to read it again. It somehow justifies my habit of bringing in more books 🙃. 💕💐💮🌺🫖📚
Yes! Once I read them they leave my big shelves and come out here if I want to keep them. I don't keep most of the ones I read, but at least there is a little wiggle room now.
I have such a hard time getting rid of ANY bks.😐 How many books do you think you have in your entire house? Saw lots of my own bks. Enjoy these types of videos, but enjoy your channel anyway!!🤗
I don't have a full count, but it's over 1000 for sure. haha. I should do a big count someday. That would be a fun video. It's hard at first to unhaul, but then I get in a groove and try not to think about it too much. I can always get the books I unhaul from the library or elsewhere if I need to in the future.
Sorting by color... that would drive me insane. Everyone knows, you should sort by height. Each shelf is a topic, and the books on that topic are to be sorted tallest on the left, smallest to the right.
Nah. haha. I have never sorted by genre. Authors last name for my unread books and color works for these as there's not as many and I've read all of them. It's not that hard to find what I'm looking for if I need it.
Definitely not, but they bring me joy and good memories when I look at them. Same with my unread books. I don't think I'll read all of those either, but they bring me joy and that's reason enough to keep them!
@@BooksAndJams I could not have said it better. The enjoyment I had while reading a story stays with me when seeing the wonderful stories on my shelves. That's why they're called __ keepers.
This series of videos has been sooooo satisfying. 💜💜💜
I agree! I will probably wait a few months before going through again, but don't think I'll need to be as thorough.
I really enjoyed this series. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much! It has been fun and very satisfying to clean out!
Oh so so many good books on your shelves. Watching this video was like visiting old friends with my cup of coffee. What a great way to start my day! 😊
Ahh unhauling and cleaning up shelves is so satisfying! I just did it earlier this month!
It's a great feeling!
Fave series of yours! Unhauling, decluttering, organizing🎉❤😊
I'm kind of sad it's fully over now!
@BooksAndJams me too!

I've enjoyed everyone of these you've done.🎉🎉
It's been a fun series. I am very pleased with the visible change each time. Love it.

Unhauling is the best!!
It feels like a fresh start almost to clear out an organize. Love it!
I always enjoy this type of video; even got some ideas for books to read. I definitely need another unhaul of my shelves.
It's good to revisit every few months and unhaul at least a few. It's a good feeling and makes me excited for what's still left on the shelves.
Love your book collection! It looks great! ❤📚❤️
Thanks so much!
Loved seeing a quick rundown of some of the books you have read. Thank you for sharing!
Glad you enjoyed it, Susan.

Thanks for watching as always, Jeanette.
I'm motivated to organize my shelves now. Loved this series. ❤
Do it! It feels so good once it's done.

I just finished “Vera Wong’s Unsolicited Advice…” and I loved it so much! 📚🎉
I am so glad you loved it!
I really needed this today
Yay! I'm glad it came at the perfect time.
I need to declutter more of my books. Some I didn’t care for but were so popular i think I should try them again.
It's hard to decide. I love having a house full of books, but it also feels good to have them all fit and be organized. I'm pleased with the progress.
Great unhaul...🎉
Thanks, Katherine.
Great job. You made decisions more quickly than before! I was amazed at how many we have in “love that book” common.
I was going with my gut for these ones! Haha. Didn't stop to debate that much. Glad we have some in common!
Looks great! 📚📚😀
Thank you! 😄
It seems so much easier to get rid of books you've already read - they can have a chance to bring joy to someone else now!
What I think
Yeah. I just kind of went with my gut. I really did enjoy all the ones I decided to unhaul, but am thrilled with my shelves being organized and cleaned up. I hope someone else will be able to enjoy the unhauled ones for sure.
I applaud you! I don't normally keep books I've read but I'm beginning to. And still I need to unhaul a few LOL
Thanks! I have been wanting to do this for a while, but my Christmas tree was in the way! haha.
I love seeing how people arrange their bookshelves. I always group by author and series. I have a seperate bookcase for Christian non fiction and Bible studies and a seperate bookcase(s) for CF, and then a secular bookcase.
Love this so much. And I'm so happy you're organizing part of it by author. My little OCD Laurie was freaking out to put them together. haha.
Haha I like having authors together too, which is why I would never color sort my TBR. I like it for this little shelf though.
Nice unhaul!
Thanks!
I love your unhauling videos. Your shelves look great! I recently read Three Strike Summer and really enjoyed it.
Glad you liked it!
Loved this video, so satisfying!!
I agree! I have been wanting to get at these shelves for ages. SO glad to have them done!
What a great clean out! I keep meaning to do mine but have been procrastinating 😅
Thanks, Shaina. It's motivating once you get started. Maybe just try to find 3 or 4 to unhaul. I bet you'll find more!
@ that’s very true! I just need to get started!
I loved hearing your thoughts on keeping certain books. Some I have but not read and it's nice to know you thought they were good enough to keep. I'll move them near the top of my TBR.

Yay for MGM! I can't wait.
Another cool pair of frames!! you have good taste Krista!
Thanks! I love my Pair glasses.
You did awesome!! I LOVE the color shelf at the end!
Thanks. I like how it turned out as well.
I remember those bios. My head canon for what Ben Franklin looks like is still built around Saving.
Haha. Yes!
Very nice uhaul. I need to do that.
You should!
Great job Krista. 📚
Thanks, Karen!
I love unhauls!
Me too!
Good job, I'm sure it feels like a great accomplishment!!❤
Nice work!
Thanks so much.

I'm working on it this weekend. They will probably go up in chunks. Stay tuned!

OH my word. Thanks for letting me know! Adding it to my list now so I don't forget.

How long do you keep books in your pango shop before you donate them somewhere if they don't sell? I love this series!
