Love the comment: "you have to have the confidence to DO VERY LITTLE!" So important and right on. I'm sending this to my students right now. I, too, do the two-finger grip to impress upon newbies to get those soft hands. Thank you!
Very helpful advice. Do you have a video on how to aim low on dinks? I love being at the kitchen line, but still struggle to properly aim my ball low & at my opponent's feet.
There are certainly some deeper, more fundamentally mechanical ways of reducing popups, but these are some quick things that you can start trying out right away. Let me know if you give these a try and report back here!
Thanks for this advice - very helpful. Could you do a video to help me with volley serving, as currently I have the yips and have to resort to drop serves (I’m left handed, and the main issue is from the even side of the court). Thanks from the UK 🇬🇧
Loved the finger exercise for soft hands! Sometimes better players will say "Use softer hands" but they don't explain HOW! I would also like some instruction on how to aim better. Most of the time I feel as if I'm just trying to get the ball across the net and in bounds but don't have confidence in placing it any particular place.
I have no clue what my DUPR is, but you could probably go look it up. 4.5-4.8 probably but who knows if that’s accurate. I’m not big on skill ratings. Thank you for watching!
Do you know the rules for the hindrance call? Specifically in rec play who can call that hindrance? My question more specifically is if someone stands on the center line in the kitchen which is a disruptive move for the server and it’s hindering his ability to serve who calls that?
Great explanation - someone advised me on a pop up to check if I was gripping too hard - now I'm beginning to understand.

Can’t wait to incorporate these drills! Love the 2 fingers idea technique to loosen the grip. Thanks so much:)
Thanks for watching. Please come back here once you try them out! Would love to hear how it went.
I looove your approach to teaching these tactics.

3 fingers drill is great...gets the feeling of how the paddle should feel...great tip!!!!
It really is great. Thanks for watching!
Great drill for me to start. Just ordered the new Gearbox Pro Power. Will need to work on this to manage the power of the paddle.
I get what you mean about the paddle, but don't worry about that for now. It won't feel uncontrollable.
Yeah I figured this video was just footage of you trying to tame the pop off that new paddle! Great video😊

Thank you again, great instruction

I'm glad it was helpful, thank you for watching!
How would you compare the fusion control to the power ? Is the control still more powerful than DBD, crbn, etc ?
How do you like that Gearbox paddle? It sounds amazing!!!
It’s amazing. One of the best they’ve ever made.
which one did you end up liking the most? I can't tell if it is the elongated with gold lettering so the power versions?
What's your DUPR rating? Do you ever play pro? What's your ranking? Great, great video, thank you!!!

Awesome thank you
Most balls are coming with either topspin or back spin. How does the spin affect pop ups?

Nice tips PK🤙
Thanks!
Be sure to emphasize that you have been OPENING the face along with soft hands and minimizing push!
What ball are you using? Thanks
I was actually trying out the new Gearbox ball in this video, but mostly use the Dura Fast 40.
@@PickleballKitchen Ok, thank you. We tried the Gearbox last week. Staying with the Core ball for now.
awesome thanks
My pleasure.
Which Gearbox paddle are you using in the video?
Power Fusion

Looks like the elongated no? I don't see "Fusion" on the face
👍👍👍‼️
you do all of it in NO VALLEY zone? Strange.
Then that’s in the MOUNTAINS😂
Bend your knees.
