Schacht has the best customer service I’ve ever seen. I was having an issue with my Sidekick that I bought used. Didn’t even buy it new, let alone from them. They still sent me parts to fix it for free and let me keep the parts when I found another way to fix my issue.

Omg, just found you on utube today! I thought I was watching and listening to ME! Everything you said was me as well even beginning with the Nano 2. Same problems, let it set for at least 6 months, got it out again and thought I will spin on this little toy machine. I am a new spinner as well. Just since Dec 2023. Got it for Christmas from my husband same as you. Spun a little but still tension problems. I just today ordered a Sahacht Ladybug today! I thought ok it will be at least 5 weeks before I receive mine so I was enjoying your excitement as well. Keep the spinning utubes coming and I will learn with you! Loved watching and listening! I am subscribed so I won’t miss a thing! Thanks so much for what you are doing! ❤🧶

Hi Leslie, Loved watching your new adventure in spinning! Got a real laugh when you said b4 set up you were going to vacuum up dog hair cuz you didn't want it getting into your yarn. I just did a major clean in my room day b4 yesterday and encountered many hair balls under my bed. Why? Because my 2 boy border collies (all things sheep right?) sleep on each side of the bed on the floor at night and that's where the hair balls originated. They have massive hair and I need to do a major groom! They really don't like to sit still for that. But I could definitely relate to your ladybug setup! I don't think I'll start spinning but I like to watch others do it. I'm too old and I have a huge, wonderful yarn stash I'd like to use up b4 I'm pushing up daisies! I'm also an avid precision sewer into tailoring and jewelry making so just can't take on another craft!!!! These activities really bring me joy. Also going to move to Florence Oregon very soon and I'm going to turn my entire garage which is all rocked in like a regular room into my craft space. So excited to have a place for everything! Keep doing what you love and thx for sharing. BTW- it was cute to watch you assemble the wheel.......could tell you have a methodical engineer brain🤣 which is why you are such an analytical knitter which I enjoy watching while I knit!!!!!!! Sorry to be off-topic, but your dogs were absolutely precious in this vlog. We habe a lab as well and the shedding is massive, so I feel ya... I am not a spinner myself but watching you spin is nice, soothing and good to knit to!
I noticed the dogs, too. They obviously live with absolute love and patience -- they freely show their curiosity but hold a little respectful distance when Leslie is concentrating. They know there's an infinite affection flow so they don't have to grab for it. I had a doberman who lived for 20 years and we treated each other the same way -- I swear she taught me how to raise the beautiful child I would have a few years later. Dogs are everything.
@@knitcalifornia If they would shed as well, you'd never have to buy fibre, you're producing it en masse yourself. Talking about keeping things local! 😁
When I first started knitting I never thought I would get into spinning, but I kept seeing more and more people try it out and love it. Eventually I knew I needed to try it too!
I don't think I could spin. I'm not good at multitasking. You have to move your feet, feed the fiber in a consistent manner, and think at the same time! 3 tasks at once! Too much for me. You make it look fun, though! Congrats on the pretty wheel! 😊
Thanks! An electric wheel may be better for you if you ever decide you want to give it a try! Then at least you don't have to worry about moving your feet 💖

Leslie, not Al fiber is prepared equally. Three Waters farm on Etsy has wonderful fiber. I started with her bfl fiber.
