Hello, great video, I have a 2023 N400. I wanted to ask, I see that velocity stacks by some of the other brands are both the same length, unlike the stock ones and TST which are one short and one long. Is there a difference, and which would be better, having them different lengths or the same length? Thanks

Having one short and one long will help keep some of the low end torque. Having them both longer would produce more mid-range and top end power.

The stock seems to have a similar velocity stack, would it not be just as good?

These ones that are a harder material and do not move around and flex and collapse as much allow for a much smoother air flow and the same air flow every single time. So these would definitely be an upgrade to get rid of the rubber ones that are in the air box.

The only thing I can think of is to check TST industries and see if they carry them I don't know anyone else that does for that specific bike and I could not tell you if the ones for the 400 would fit or not.

Do you have to tune the bike after install of these and the air filter?

Yes.. the only part that you can get away with without tuning is a simple slip-on exhaust when you delete the cat or add headers or high-flow filter or modify the air box or add the snorkels yes I don't recommend doing it without having the bike tuned properly. You can tune the bike properly with the Power Commander 5 or Power Commander 6 which is the brand new replacement for Power Commander 5. We do have those available on our website if you don't see them on their website give me a couple days we got to update everything on the website. Essentially you could order a power commander 6 with a custom tune already installed. We ship anywhere in the US except California for tuning devices...

@@BLRTUNING Oh ok. Well I have a 2020 Yamaha R3 that I had planned to do these two mods to but idk of anyone around my area to tune the bike afterwards. That’s why I went with a slip on instead of a full exhaust system. I’ve read the power commander messes up bikes like mine but idk

Do I delete the oxygen sensor I have a m4 full exhaust

If you're going to start unplugging different sensors it has to be either an ECU flash to eliminate those sensors in the ECU settings itself or you have to have some type of dummy plug plugged in but tricks the system into thinking that there is still a plug there. It's either that or you leave things plugged in.

I do explain a little bit in the video but having the velocity stacks in there helps with air turbulence inside of the airbox and helps direct the airflow more directly into the throttle body.... This is a noticeable horsepower gain....
The thing to remember here is anytime you are messing with the airbox you should also consider custom tuning work that's what would make it benefit tremendously.
This bike has a modified air box a high-flow filter and the velocity stacks it's a huge difference in power.
It also has a power commander 5 with wideband that allows for full tuning in the ecu. This means we can adjust the fuel mapping to accommodate the new air coming in...
We will also added titanium headers and a full exhaust system as well
Despite makes over 80 horsepower and stock they make about 42.5
So this thing is extremely snappy on the throttle and has a lot of torque...

@@twowheeladventures327 it also has a full titanium and carbon acropovic exhaust.. it makes something close to that amount of horsepower. It's a pretty ridiculous amount of torque for the bike that it is.

Yes I have seen mixed reviews and whatnot on which one should go where. Don't know that it would make a difference at all which one goes where. The whole idea behind them being different sizes is to help create turbulence in the airbox which helps create better airflow. So I don't know that it matters too much which side you put the longer stack on..
