We bought this exact car. Transmission issues are now fixed. Ride is very refined, almost feels like our 2012 GC Overland we traded for a SRT 392 last year. After rebate, the 3.2 powered Cherokee cost us 29K with Nav, Cold weather package, Altitude package and wheel locks. It's a much nicer car than the Renegade Limited we came close to buying as the Renegade needs more power.
My father got this car for my 18th birthday and I love it as my first car and I actually do like the exterior and don’t understand why there is much hate on it.
Ive owned almost the exact same model in this video for almost 2 months now and I havent been happier!! I have the Altitude with V6 and FWD because I enjoy that power when on the highways and dont think our winters are what they used to be. I didnt feel as if the 4-cyl engine was enough power. Love the Cherokee!!!
Well i have had my 2016 latitude with the 2.4L and 9 speed transmission for a little over a week now and absolutely love mine. Got the lifetime warranty so not worried about the transmission. So far it runs smooth
Steve -- most of the problems I heard about FCA's 9-sp. auto is when it's paired with 2.4L Tigershark Inline-4 engine. So the Chrysler 200, Jeep Cherokee, Fiat 500X, and Jeep Renegade have that. Didn't you had that issue when tested the Renegade and 500X last summer?
Excellent review. Your test car looks nice, I know the v6 is a smart upgrade from the 2.4 ltr.(more power/torque + better real world MPG) Would you recommend it over a Subaru/Santa Fe/Honda CRV/Tiguan ? My neighbour has a lower trim level Cherokee with a 2.4 ltr 4 banger. His car rides quite smooth, but the 2.4 ltr is under powered and uses lots of gas. He has experienced lots of serious electrical and brake issues.
Paying over $30k for one of these compact crossovers is a poor value to me. At that point, you might as well get a Grand Cherokee, or whatever comes next, depending on company
This vehicle has had so many problem since the redesign that I don't think the more knowledgeable automotive people would give it the time of day. Way too many people have had transmission & CPU problems.
+Mr Bobby Brown Sergio says it's fixed ;-) Either way, I can only go by what my several tests tell me and so far I've had no issues with FCA's 9-speed.
driven this suv in the snow and at night time. traction was good. but terrible and i mean terrible headlights. it was driven all weekend in snow and no snow and it was very difficult to see .
I was just looking up used ones online and according to this video, they were $29,000 brand new and now in 2019 going for $16,500 with only ~38k miles.
I have this vehicle and it is garbage! I’ve had my shifter replaced twice. I had to wait two months because the shifter was on back order. There were over 300 shifters on back order. And there is always some software updates to fix a problem. And something always goes wrong after the update! Don’t ever buy this car.
that's the navigation package, which adds a couple small apps and includes 5 years if serious radio and wifi if I recall correctly. to activate the nav app, $50 for five years i think

Great Review! Im currently considering either the jeep cherokee or dodge journey to purchase. The Jeep Is hard to beat with the 9speed and V6 combo

The designers really nailed it with the interior. I especially like that dragon drop screen! Such a great name!
Buy yourself beers, designers
Is it dragon drop or drag and drop?
Does this model have the engine start/stop feature? I've never been a fan of this feature.

This car is best in its class. The only one with v6 option. But the AWD is way too heavy (+300 pounds). Go with FWD.
who the hell buys a jeep without AWD or 4x4?

Most of these small crossovers/SUVs are priced in the $28-35K range. Depends how much you option.

I came to hear Jeep get punished and was disappointed. Not sure if that's good or bad.

It's not bad.
The whels are 17 or 18 ?
Good rental car.
The resale value on these must be in the abyss, or below.

You have the video named "Altitude" not "Latitude"
+Darkender1988 You also say Altitude quite a few times instead of Latitude >.
It's both.

It'll be a money pit.
راقيه الله يرزقنه وحده
you keep calling it an Altitude lol. It's a Latitude.
Not true. Pay Attention. This was a specific trim.
I don't like black wheels.
