She starts off as an Apartheid apologetic making Apartheid sound like a cool thing only to accuse DEI (which she dislikes) of being Apartheid in disguise 😆 Make up your mind lady, are you pro- or anti- Apartheid? The rest of the lecture is an incoherent diatribe not worth anyone's time.
The speaker grossly misunderstands the Apartheid system. She did not bother doing a bit of research to understand it. Apartheid is a legalised dispossession and racial discrimination that deprived Africans of basic human rights and resources (Large share of land was taken, expropriated without any compensation, from Africans/Blacks and transferred to Whites). Apartheid does not mean separate development, it means segregation literally - please do not mislead the audience. There is no expropriation of land without compensation in South Africa after collapse of Apartheid system, it is merely being discussed. Education was also segregated and Black institutions and were not allocated resources equitably when established. Blacks could not study Engineering - they were not allowed unless given express permission to study in White institutions. I’m a free market and liberty supporter, that is why I follow Mises Institute content. The speaker has distorted the information about the Apartheid and its intention in an effort to try and make analogy to other country policies. I found that very shallow.
People like Wanjiru Njoya are the reason why nobody takes the Mises Institute seriously. She's actually counterproductive to the whole movement. Giving off pro apartheid vibes in an ideological war, is like giving commies more ammo to finish us.
You should do a bit more research yourself: there is a lot about SA apartheid history you don't acknowledge or begin to understand. I am no apologist for apartheid, had lived within, and know that all parties been affected. There was plenty of black universities and schools by the way
So you think capitalism will help monkeys?!! Non it does not unless you have fully developed human culture and society..then modern open markets that we call capitalism works
Thanks MM for making this available! Thanks Prof. Njoya.
Greetings and appreciation from 🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦🇿🇦
Thanks for sharing
Incredible talk! Njoya for the WIN!
This is so relevant, and now I understand what you have been writing and presenting. Thank you for this
Liberty is a theory of justice. I’ve never heard that before but it is a great idea.
Excellent presentation. We humans need conflict don't we? No heaven on Earth for us.
lovely lecture!
"Our attitude towards any government is determined by the attitude of that government towards our struggle" communist or not - Nelson Mandela
A great book by Walter E. Williams. Cost me like $300 since they no longer printing it
"The harm caused by apartheid was not harm a caused by hateful people, it was a harm caused by the State"
Who's the 'State'?
Good talk
Very interesting subject. Glad to see South Africa getting some well deserved attention given it's important position in recent history
Against corporatism and crony capitalism? Is it Free Market Economy they want?
Good question
now do one on the war against statism.
oh, yeah...guess there's not much content.
Why would there be a war against statism anywhere? Libertarians aren’t in power in any country
Huh
@@OrthoHoppean yeah its a weird comment isnt it? Is he being sarcastic against anyone in particular?
People conveniently forget communism and its march through Africa
Which South Africa is this one talking about?
👍👍👍👍👍

The audience isn't that dumb to be misled -- they're all birds of a feather.

You have a rich imagination.
@@judith4208 We didn't say SA has no history or Apartheid is the only thing we know about SA.
What total nonsense.
😂😂 This is pure hogwash..
