- This fishing vlog we are starting the morning fishing points but discover the bass have moved up into shallow water. We move around the lake to locate and target big bass that are in shallow water but with deeper water close by. This is in my experience and essential tactic for finding big bass in most lakes.

Buy a boat lanes card for your graph and never go more than a boat width away from markers while on plane. I would say definitely idle around more than anything.

So when you snagged that bass. I think what happened was when you made a cast with that weightless bait, your buddy could've made a cast over you. He got the bite and set the hook. You felt like you had a bite because she ran with your buddys bait with yalls lines crossed, so it felt like you had a bite ( alot of the times you feel weight instead of a bite on a jerkbait/weightless jerkbait.) you leaned into the fish and there wasnt much wieght because it was his line and not the fish taking it. so when you tried to "catch up" with the fish after the hookset, and your bait ran into the fish and snagged it. all while your buddys bait is still in the fishes mouth. During the fight while shes got both of yalls hooks, his bait comes off ( possibly due to the two of yall pulling the fish in opposite ways and the hook tore out of her mouth ( theres a tear on the roof of her mouth in the back of her throat)). I really think thats what happened, because he did set the hook before you. Pretty insane!

My lake has 46 degree water temp and the bass are holding between 40 - 65ft deep still.... ugh at least you fellas are getting em!
I duck hunt here, and the gators are massive, it's crazy how many massive gators there are in this lake, never seen anything like it anywhere else.
i would love to see you come to arkansas and try to catch the bass ive been trying to catch for at least 2 years now she is double digit only get 1 shot per day and she is elusive

Cedar creek reservoir has very good bass fishing with a lake record of over 14 pounds. Get out and put some work in.
@@adamsmith3996 I'm actually unable to go out on the water because I don't have a boat but I have put effort into it as much as I can by jumping from location to location
@@countrylifeoutdoors3048 keep it up bud my second biggest bass came from shore fishing. 10.2 lbs. Town lake Austin . And right now in texas the bass are on the shoreline or close to it. You can catch em if you work at it I promise. Good luck
