Love the content dana. Love how you just get right into it and do work. As we say in hawaii 'no sked um, go get um' no doubt you inspire all who watch your channel bro. Keep at it!
Looooooove seeing and watching your work and these kinda of teardown! As fun as building these engines, I love teardown a and it tells me a lot more of the story of it’s like 😎 at this point I’d be stoked to open the oil pump and rework it and all! Can’t wait for the max speeding rods LS keep going brother il be waiting to watch ftw!
I was thinking about doing a B20 vtec build. But I've heard that the cylinder walls are weaker in the B20 engines. Do you know if there's any truth to this rumor? I have seen quite a few people talking about the cylinder walls being thin and resulting in cracked cylinder walls. I was going to go to turbo route with the B20 vtec but. Any information, help or advice would be greatly appreciated.
What's funny is I have the exact same spacers on my engine stand bolts as Dana does. Longer transmission/starter bolts or suspension bolts. Look in the dirt in the junkyard. I think I cut my spacers from round steel tube stock with a pipe cutter.
Yeah it did work. He showed the spot he tested it on a couple videos back. I think it was the video prepping the red CRX for the cruise before Thanksgiving.
Aye man I got a question I just bought a 91 lude si and it has a B21a1 and I haven’t seen much content on this motor is it completely junk? Or can It be a just as strong and as good as other b series motors.
Here you go. The prelude "B" is a dud it's not considered a B series motor at all. And as far as swapping anything in there.. well your going to have to be a good welder/fabricator or have your wallet ready to be drained. If you like the car just get it running right and enjoy it. If you want to build it just don't waste time and money on it. A stock auto Integra will smoke that prelude. I'm not being a hater it's just that car is a no go for a lot of us. You really have to like it.
The thing is with preludes, at least gen 2 from what I know from brief ownership, is that the engines are designed to fit in the engine bay so are on a “slant”. Civics, can fit whatever. Ludes, have specifically designed/specc’d engines and the only ones that go in without too much trouble are those factory fitted into Preludes. They’re awesome cars and engines, just a bit different from other Hondas. Plus T is the way to go.. that’s adding boost.
It has slightly higher hp over low compression b20's & a knock sensor. 6800 redline over the 6200 low compression is the biggest perk. B20b jdm engines are the same as the b20z usdm version FYI.

The one guy that rocks a bone thugg beanie on most of his videos. Respect&props on your builds
Lovin' B series motors.
They're the AK47 of Honda motors.
Tough, reliable, and easy to work on.

I need a YS1 cable adjustment bracket if you have one! I can't find anyone who has one...
Enjoyed it 🤙
Is that a yogurtland/pinkberry cup bro 😭
I hella miss that place since I moved away from SJ lol
It's this engine good for turbo ? I know that the b20 is always good for turbo but this version is kinda off
What hardware do you use to put the engine on the engine stand ?
that's a lifting rack. for working out, or lifting engines apparently lol
You need longer bolts.. I'm using 12mmx1.25 100mm... bolts from tranny too short

10:49 video starts
Where does the b20z come from?
Which car does the b20zr come from?
what happen to the stain remover did it work ?
I want to know the same thing too

What’s the price cost on your rebuild ?
What engine stand is it that your using?
Looks like the Harbor Freight one
$75 right now
Is a B20z2 high compression good ? What’s the difference ?
It has slightly higher hp over low compression b20's & a knock sensor. 6800 redline over the 6200 low compression is the biggest perk.

Lets goo!!!

Has Dana announced who the winner of the give away CRX is or was? I haven't been as up to date with the channel as I'd like to be due to work.
