- The HARDEST Pokemon Nuzlocke Soul Link starts anew. Pokemon Ultra Sun and Ultra with Randomized Pokemon, TM's, Abilities and harder rulesets. This Soul Link Nuzlocke is absolutely brutal and we attempt it witj Rhabby_V whom hasn't played Pokemon in over 12 years (and barely played then)... can I help guide him through unknown Pokemon adventures and generations to achieve victory?

★ RULES ★
-If a pokemon faints, it must be permanently placed inside PC Box
-Can only catch the first pokemon encountered in each route.
-Must nickname every pokemon caught (will be named after someone in House Fruit)
-Every wild pokemon encounter, static pokemon encounter, trainer pokemon, TM's, field items and abilities and are randomized
-No pokemon can exceed level of next gym leaders highest level (totem or captain for USUM)
-3 Items used in-battle per battle, unless a mon faints then item usage resets in that battle
-All Important Trainers have increased Pokemon count
-All Wild Pokemon Can Call Allies
-Can Decide To Take A Called Ally For Encounter (cannout purposefuly wait for Pokemon to call ally)
-Force Fully Evolved Trainer Pokemon At Lvl 40
-Ultra Necrozma Won't Be A Wipe
-If we white out/black out, we lose.
-Each encounter is paired with each other making them "soul linked"
-If one person fails to catch their encounter or knocks it out, the other person forfeits the encounter as well
-If one persons Pokemon in a soul link is put in the PC or knocked out than the other linked Pokemon must follow/share the same fate
-No repeat of primary types across both parties (1 pokemon pair may break this rule however)
-No pair may share the same primary typing
-Flying Pokemon may have either of their typing declared for their primary the moment they're caught and cannot change (since every flying type pokemon has flying as secondary rather than primary typing)
-Randomized fossils can be used as an extra encounter in the route the 2nd fossil half was found (both players will need to find 1 fossil for this to come into effect)
-A wild shiny encounter can always be caught and made into a new pair

Rob's Persian has the ability No Guard which gives moves like Fissure 100% accuracy and can 1-shot anything
I’m not sure if randomizers change what moves pokemon can learn, but if it doesn’t Persian can’t learn fissure

There's also that fact that ohko moves like fissure don't work on pokemon with higher levels than you do just something to watch out for

With their luck, the first Pokémon Rob runs into will also know a 1HKO move and out-speed his Persian.

I'm sure you realized the error due to the overlay of the teams making sense: Rob has to swap Camerupt for Vikavolt (unless you decide you want Stoutlander with Camerupt)

Pro tip, if you get a Pokémon with the Sheer Force ability, Life Orb gives them the damage boost without them losing any health
I thought Sheer Force only applied to moves? It works for held items as well?
That only works if the move is boosted by Sheer Force. So you still take damage from Life Orb if you use Tackle, but it gets skipped if you use Body Slam.

I haven't gotten to the end yet, but you got your pairs wrong when you swapped in Hydreigon and Kyurem.
Vikavolt is paired with Emboar but Rob still has Camerupt on his team.
Don't sleep on Unaware Kyurem. Not only do you ignore their defensive boosts, they can set up offense all they want and you ignore that too.

I'm only at the beginning of the episode, so this may be redundant, but Rhab's Persian has No Guard, guaranteeing that all moves hit. If it can learn the Fissure TM that he can purchase, he'd have a speedy cat that can one-shot any non-flying enemy it comes across! I don't remember what it is paired with on the other team.

Unaware is actually a goated ability because it ignores the stat raises and drops of the pokemon youre fighting so i feel like it would be really helpful in totem fights

Hi Mr. Fruit. Hope you’re doing better. I’m a little late to this, but I didn’t see anyone commenting on how to switch up the teams so I wanted to give a recommendation for new teams. The pairs would be Genesect/Swampert, Tapu Bulu/Mega Charizard, Kyurem/Hydreigon, Stoutland/Mega Camerupt, Deoxys/Cradily, and Emboar/Vikavolt as the rule breaking pair.
This team sacrifices Beheeyem and Xurkitree for Deoxys and Cradily, but I think this is worth it. On Fruit’s end, deoxys is obviously a better psychic than Beheeyem although Deoxys is a bit of a glass cannon. Rob loses an ultrabeast, but he gets Vikavolt as an electric type anyway, and with Cradily, Rob gets more type coverage with a decent rock/grass type. It’s a worthwhile switch in my opinion. I also switched out Mega Salamence/Crobat for Stoutland/Mega Camerupt. As cool as mega salamence is, Stoutland gives immunity to ghost and is a decent tanky mon in general, and Rob gets a powerful Mega. Both of you would get 10 unique types on your team. The only types that Fruit’s team doesn’t resist are flying and rock, and for Rob, it’s Ice and Dragon.
Or you could swap Mega Salamence/Crobat in for Stoutland/Mega Camerupt if you make Mega Salamence the flying type instead of Charizard.
Despite going through your break this is some of the best content I think you’ve made. The intro, format and length of the episodes are all amazing.
