    If you do decide to go natural, you can always be a heat trained natural. That might work for you since you enjoy the silk press styles.

      And she can start training her new growth while she transitions and by the time she cuts her hair off, it’s going to be trained!

    This looked lovely, one tip when you blow dried you did the regrowth the same as the relaxed ends. To get a more seemless blend of regrowth and relaxed you need to properly blow dry the roots straightening them out more that way when you use the flat iron the regrowth will straighten better.

    Yeah ive decided to not get relaxers anymore.(Well maybe lol im still debating )Im now getting the chi enviro smoothing treatments and i notice my hair is much thicker and just as straight as a relaxer. My new growth is actually more manageable too. Im 7 months post relaxer. Best decision I've made so far

    One of my guesses is that you found out how to maintain your natural hair with that deep conditioner !! You can always be a heat trained natural since technically that's what you are doing post relaxer and it will still loosen your texture. I'm mainly curly in the summer and heat trained or blown out in the winter and fall ... either which way u do with your hair I'm still going to watch I'm a bleached heat trained "natural"? Lol

    I’m still debating if I want to relax my hair or not (probably not) but having the routine i currently have (washcloth blow dry hair and flat twist) has been sooo good! My hair doesn’t tangle as much, doesn’t break, my texture is still strong although “softer” (like my coil have opened up just a tad bit). And whenever I feel like my hair doesn’t have the habitual elasticity the L’Oréal pre shampoo bonding treatment or the Philip Kingsley elasticiser extreme, do the job

      Just heat train your hair. It’s easy once you properly educated and figure out what your hair likes. Might be best to go to a trusted stylists who knows what they are doing to stop you from all the cons of trying to figure it out in your own.

    I texlaxed and used temporary color at the end of March. I am trying to stretch as much as possible. I wonder if I should use temporary color during the stretch? Will it cause more trauma at the line of demarcation? It’s so hot and muggy in NYC. I am still contemplating a wig to extend the stretch. Braids always break my hair. I have fine texlaxed 4C hair. It is like cotton candy in that it poofs and frizzes very large, but if you touch it, you can see that it’s an illusion. I don’t flat iron because it looks to thin. So I just blow dry it with my RevAir and then do braid outs.

  • @lindafloralmeida6114
    @lindafloralmeida6114 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

    I’ve seen a hairstylist recommend texture release for natural girls.
    And I’ve also seen relaxed influencer that hasn’t relaxed her hair in months, what she does now is just flat iron the new growth (like kinda what I straight natural would do. No relaxing and just heat styling)

  • @michelleclark8099
    @michelleclark8099 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    I went natural during covid. I wore wigs, no glue.
    Everything was ok until my hair reached shoulder length. Then every time I shampooed I had to tear a lot of my hair off. The shampoos mat and lock my hair.
    I finally gave up and texlaxed my hair using Affirm Relaxer for dry and itchy scalp. I also bought the RevAir to dry my hair. I have fine 4C hair and it looks thin when I flat iron, so I don’t flat iron. I just use the RevAir to stretch it dry
    and then do braid outs.
    I also temporary colored it.
    HOWEVER,
    it’s time for a touchup. I am confused about if I should continue to stretch past this 3 months since I will have to texlax retouch myself.

      I just 10:07 bought the long tangle teaser. It doesn’t work on my hair. I just ordered the brush used in this video. I sure hopes it works. I really need a shampoo with major SLIP! The main problem I have in my texlaxed hair is shampoo. They tangle my hair and I have to tear at it to detangle. Why? I don’t know. Maybe not enough slip.

    I do think every time your get a relaxer your edges thin out a little bit because I’ve noticed they get fuller then thinner again or maybe I’m just remembering the corrective one. Is there a way to miss your edges in the relaxer or texlax them, when I used to bleach my hair my edges always burnt off because they’re more fragile.
    But it looks good! I’m sure you’d finesse straight natural, it just wouldn’t look as sleek.

      I have texlaxed hair. It goes poof the minute I go outside. It doesn’t want to be straight like relaxed hair.
      I would love relaxed hair. But salons don’t like me and my 4C hair for various reasons.
      When people don’t like you, you can NOT allow them to touch your hair. I learned this the hard way.
      Anyway, since I am forced to do my own hair, I texlax: To make sure I don’t melt off my hair by overlapping too much and by over processing.
