I was under the impression that system 2 is conscious or slow thinking and thus the central route should be system 2 and not system 1 as describe in the video. Otherwise a great video, thanks!
You're absolutely correct, looks like I misspoke here. The central route would be akin to System 2 thinking which is slow and deliberate. Thanks for catching this!
Thanks Nishita! You can find a playlist of videos I've made related to research methods here: th-cam.com/video/7UDBjXnk4yA/w-d-xo.html I've also made some related videos on psychometrics and testing that you can find in this playlist on intelligence: th-cam.com/video/niM7P8OdT60/w-d-xo.html I hope these help!
You're right, they aren't :( They aren't usually covered in an introductory psychology course so I haven't included them in this series. I am considering making a series of videos that would correspond to a statistics for psychology course at some point in the future, once I've finished all the intro psych videos. Now at know at least one person might be interested in that :)
Yes please do make that series! :) i had it in my masters but now i forgot all of it :D wanted to check basics of it. have an important entrance exam, any suggestions which book/site i can find info in?
Here's a site on probability and statistics I just found recently that might be helpful: students.brown.edu/seeing-theory/ There's also a series of lectures by Andy Field called Demystifying Statistics that might also be useful: th-cam.com/channels/akigkjm3vBzEHpFzECDXQQ.html
