Damn Straight Man🤘😎🤘 The 1980's & The 1990's were my arcade years. I still go to the arcade joints from time to time to re-live my childhood, it brings back so many memories.✌😎✌
"WiNnErS d0n'T uSe DrUgS" The war on Drugs alive and well still in a game from 1999-2000. Too bad 90s 2D shmups look so colorful and eye-catching while high.
Graphics, Sound, everything. And for graphics, I wouldn't even say just "slightly". They were considerably less detailed. I'll throw a wild guess here. Armed Police Batrider has some really detailed graphics and soundwise it's majestic and full of voice sample. This costs money. And by this era, shmups weren't making THAT much money anymore. Cave moved to 3D pre-renderized graphics around that era too, because they are cheaper to produce. Raizing probably threw less money on the production of this game. IIRC this was also Yagawa's last game at Raizing, after that he moved by Cave. I remember reading his move to Cave was exactly because Raizing wasn't interested in doing shmups anymore (Though they made Dimahoo amd 1944 Loop Master later, but both were published by Capcom).
arcade time is the coolest time
90's arcade goodness.

try BATRIDER if you don't know it, it's much harder and very similar. this game is like BATRIDER mixed with BATTLE GAREGGA but easier than either.

My brother in Christ, have you heard of rank?
Am I the only one who feels the graphics were slightly worse than Battle Garegga?
