I just found this channel, but the filming is amazing great quality! And content. Just the antidote I needed to depressing news here in Norway about the state of our forests. Hopefully Canadas vast wilderness will be safe for a long time and gently helped by Stefano and others.
Got one here! Not sure how I found this - but I am absolutely going to try something similar. Smaller, but same idea. He made SO many new friends! ❤ Beautiful photography, too - thank you for sharing!
I love how much effort you put in to make sure local native ecosystems thrive near you - we need people all over every part of the world putting this type of thought into their local nature, no matter how big or small. I live in Atlanta, but there's a little one-block park that has nesting boxes galore for the birds near me, and I've seen everything from sparrows to hawks, owls, and herons in there despite the size! It helps that a lot of the houses keep and maintain their old growth trees in the area as well, and a lot of the creeks have pretty continuous habitat along them. I'm only 6 miles from downtown, too, just goes to show that you can make places work for people and nature
i just found this channel and im already in love. you do so many things for nature and im glad to find someone who does the same things i do. i hope people realize how important native wildlife is.
I love that you describe the wildlife habits, food, etc. throughout the video. You make even the tiniest creature (snow flea) so interesting! Thank you for sharing!
Your videos are so calming and beautiful! Please keep sharing, I love how thoughtful you are of all the wild animals and nature living there. It's like a empathy lesson to respect every living being!
I am so happy for you and a tiny bit jealous. Happy you are being rewarded for your great stewardship of your property. Wishing you decades and decades of animals moving in and making your place their home. Looking forward to the pond videos too. Thanks for your work and for sharing :D
i’ve said it once and i’ll say it again. always a joy to see you post! i am absolutely in love with your content and am always thinking throughout the weeks how things are going. please never stop what your doing. not only does it please me and many other viewers to watch the content but the work your doing is way more impactful than it may seem. much love!
Foxes are one of my favorite animals, so to see one all happy, prancing around, and then snuggle in the sun lit snow just felt special. Thanks for your work and production! More subs for this good human!
Your editing and scriptwriting is getting better and better with each video. I'm really looking forward to all the wildlife this year and hope you'll continue sharing with us
Your videos are so special. That beautiful fox in the pristine snow, just lying down for a little snooze in the sunlight, made me get a little emotional lump in my throat. You are so knowledgeable and I learned a lot from watching this, not least the wonderful birds you have there - many are similar to the ones we see in the UK but none exactly the same! Amazing work you are doing there. When I see a notification for one of your updates, your video goes to the top of my viewing list! Already looking forward to the next one!
I love watching your content, man. It's so calming and always brings a smile to my face. Living in a city, I rarely have time to go into nature, so watching your videos just makes me happy. Thank you for creating such wonderful content. Love you man.
I remember when your channel had reached the 10k subs milestone.....its really great to see how its grown since then! Keep up the awesome work Stefano!
Always get excited when you put out a video because I know it's going to have beautiful wildlife, birds and scenery. You do an amazing job on your videos.
Watching you interact with the ecology of that absolutely gorgeous property is endlessly inspiring and entertaining. I wish you the best of luck with springtime projects!
Almost thought you were going to label the bird boxes 😂 I tried to put a weight limit sign on our birdie bath to encourage the more stout feathered friends to use the bigger bowls to bathe in….didn’t work tho 😁
You have inspired so many people man , me included..I have been trying to make my moms backyard more friendly towards wildlife , in mountainous Greece and it has been so great...sadly cant be there too often with college , work and its a 2 hour drive but you have really ignited a fire inside me to research more about my local wildlife and stuff and im so thankful to you for it
Thank you for sharing your experiences and progress with us. As someone who has recently moved "up north" and is a nature nut, your videos are giving me all sorts of ideas about how to attract more wildlife to the property. We do have flying squirrels as well and they are enchanting. Look forward to following your journey.
I am super excited for these videos! I recently found this channel through recommendations and I am so glad I found it when I did. The cinematography and general storytelling is very comforting for me as I go through a tough time. ❤
I always love watching your videos, really can’t thank you enough for creating and sharing them with us! ♡ I’m about to start a (seasonal) wildlife technician position with the US Forest Service, and I can’t wait to channel my inner-Stefano when I’m out hiking and doing surveys. 😅 Your passion and curiosity is contagious, thanks for putting it out into the world. 💖
That’s awesome! Hope your season goes well. That’s my position, as well. Very fun job. It’s always a bonus when you can learn and earn simultaneously 🙂
Your appreciation for the entire food web is heartening. The ripple effect you demonstrate -- one creature impacting the population of another -- is a lesson to everyone. Thank you!
I was thrilled to see a notification from your channel today. Magnificent! Excited for your future videos. Thanks again for all the details and wonderful footage you provide.
You can just spread some maize, millet and clover seeds loosely over the moist ground this spring in the less forested parts of the property to help feed the wildlife naturally. Birds will likely eat a lot of the seeds right away, but some will manage to sprout and grow among the weeds, providing some extra food options through the fall and winter. Another neat trick I learned from local gamekeepers is to spread horse or cow manure over the pasture areas, provides a thicker "hay reserve" layer beneath the snow for all herbivores.
Very interesting! I definitely like the idea of spreading seed on the ground in the forested areas. Maybe even in the spring I could put a bit at random parts of the property, just until I get more plants established
Thank you for the video. I missed hearing from you. The content is amazing and wish I had a property for wildlife. I do have a garden for pollinators 😊.
Hi! I don't know if you'll ever see this, but over summer break I was doing a lot of research on different species of bats and all about how to build certain types of bat houses! I thought it was really interesting and I'm building a maternity one for the land my family owns up North! The only reason I'm bringing this up is because I think building a bat house would be a really cool addition to your habitat. It's just an idea, but from what I can see, bats are already a dwindling species, and they could really benefit from what you're doing! :)
That’s awesome! I’m hoping you’ll have a full bat box this season! I definitely will be putting up bat boxes. I might start with a couple this season as I figure out what I want to do with the different parts of the property. But starting next year I want a ton of them around 🙂
Wow Sooo Many Beautiful Little Birdies, I Am Sooo Impressed With Your Knowledge About Everything Like That Little Insects Thingy...Thanks For Sharing Infos, Prof :D...!!!
Your work is so amazing ! I’m definitely inspired to build nesting boxes and put them in my garden, problem is that I have a cat and I have to figure out a way to put them in a cat proof area ! I put a lot more feeders this past winter and saw so many more bird species it made me so happy ! It’s also wonderful to see the difference that planting flowers and vegetables as well as fruit trees and bushes made in terms of bringing insects and life in general in our garden since moving in 😍❤️
you’re making me discover species i had no idea we had here so this is extra special for me! you’re doing amazing work!! this video is so beautiful and interesting and i’m so excited to see what spring has in store for you, it’s gonna be busy! 😄
Thank you for the update. I love seeing all of the new wildlife you're able to find. That fox was really cute I hope you're able to find their den. I put up a bird feeder in our backyard and started tracking the local birds and the wildlife in our area. It's amazing how many different birds we get coming through our backyard. Our cats love watching them come and go from the windows. I'm looking at setting up a bird house or two next year since there are a lot of birds looking to nest in the trees nearby.
@@StefanoIaniro wow, you're quick with the comments :D I think you found a big hole in the market with this more personal style of "wildlife documentary"

It is exciting to see all those birds to live nearby , it should be fantastic during spring and summer! While in Malaysia we are having our migratory season going to an end, now almost all forest birds is having their nest done or on the way of feeding/parenting
I'm so thankful for people like you ☺ feeding a sparrow family on my balcony since years 🐦 they housing above the gutter next to my room in a city hightower 😄 they love bio golden millet over all and eat a lot of theme in winter 😋
