The Bloom MV always literally brings tears to my eyes with how much it means to me. Usually women's sexual exploration is whispered about in shame or portrayed only for the male gaze. Gain celebrates it in a way that I've never seen before, from the point of view of self-discovery and wonder. It's really something special.
Ga-In is really really something else, her MVs are always pieces of art truly, almost like shot movies and I absolutely love how she talks about important topics! Obviously in these two it's about sex and seduction but she shows she has complete control of them, that's her doing and that's unusual. She also talked about abusive relationships in "Fxxk u", death in "Carnival" and toxic gossiping about celebrities in "Truth or Dare". She had a hard time these past years, she came back with BEG last year but I truly hope she's feeling better and if she feels like it, will come back solo too, the industry needs more artist like her :(

this is so nostalgic. i used to have a whole ass monologue on how Paradise Lost was a defense of both Eve and the serpent, and how it's just a big middle finger to the whole myth of the apple. like i haven't seen any of the backstory on how the song was composed or by whom, but years later that's still definitely what I get from it. aside from Gain being hot af

You know, with bloom i was the same as you the first time i saw it thinking "oh, is kinda subtely telling us what the bloom is about" and then 2 seconds later "hell, this way more explicit than i thought" specially for an idol and someone as young as her, is not common to see in mainstream kpop.

I work in a supermarket, and what with this year being what it's been my mental health hasn't been great and today was probably the lowest I've been in a very long time.
