I love how roland starts out being a high and mighty wizard, but after the events of the tower, he completely tones it down after seeing what he could have become in his "master". who was also ironically weaker.
His line about you on how he’s “seen what true leadership can accomplish” is one of my favourite moments in the game. Love that recurring NPCs have their own arcs and character development.
I like to think that he also witnessed what a true Wizard can accomplish due to his experiences with the player (If Wizard) and Gale (if alive and there) since Lorroakan is in fact weaker and not very knowledgable at large.
