you are from lhotshampa community..and i have read somewhere bhutanese people don't like this community because of nepalese ethnicity and hindu religion and there are several stories related to it . How the world bhutan can do such things?
My parents, their parents and their parents were born in Gelephu Bhutan, but we were nearly ethnically cleansed by the 4th king of Bhutan just for being who we were, same story like Kashmiri Pundits and around the same time, when KP were ethnically cleansed from Kashmir, just for being who they were. Just curios as to what your full Nepali name is. 🙂 Also, there are many Bhutanis of Nepali origin who have now settled in many countries of Europe, USA, Canada & Australia starting about a decade ago or so. They were officially accepted by these countries as citizens and are now doing quite well for themselves. If you ever travel to those countries you should try and connect with them and make videos with and about them. I think that would be interesting for your folks back home and also for Nepalese all over the world who may hear you speak in Nepali as well. 🙂 Besides, you should also make a trip to Nepal sometime. Yes she is Bhutanese but what he meant to say is that whether she is Nepali....The word Nepali is very complex thing ,It is used both for signifying nationality ,As well Nepali speaking community are also called Nepali and lastly Community whose roots goes to nepal are also loosely called Nepali. Even in India ,Nepali is listed Under 8th schedule language and those who speak Nepali language are also called Nepali/Indian Gorkha but they are Indian Here by Nepali he is referring to second one
