You will probably need more as the concrete is fluffier before you add water. Our website has detailed mix and casting instructions for each mold we sell so you don't have to worry about that :)
Thinner consistency of concrete, preferably achieved with a superplasticizer. Avoid adding large aggregate like gravel. Sand and cement will do just fine for very small molds
Thanks! We usually make our own concrete mix with only sand, cement, and plasticizer but I wanted to make a quick video with just premixed bags of concrete. Every mold on our website has detailed mix instructions with the amount of each material you will need per casting :)
Hey Vlad, My name is also Vlad 😂, quick question. We live pretty close to each other, have you tried looking for a supplier to get some lightweight aggregate in bulk for the concrete mix, like pumice, lava rock or perlite ? Was wondering what your though on these aggregates are, have you tried any?
Yes, I have played around with these aggregates. My conclusion is that these aggregates absolutely make the concrete lighter but at great detriment to the strength and PSI. The best alternative in my opinion is using a prebagged lightweight mix like XS LightWeight. The manufacturers are wizards who put additives most people wouldn't be able to pronounce to get the best combination of reduced weight and strength. - globmarble.com/xtreme-lightweight-concrete-mix-3.html
Since you used the leftover dried product line to measure how much concrete to remove wouldn't it be true that you could fill your mold with water, pour into a bucket, mark the fill line and then use that much dry ingredients? Then weigh that to figure out how much water to use?
We sell the molds worldwide :) You can check the description of the video for the exact materials I used in this video, or you can browse all of our products here- globmarble.com/
have you ever used fiber in your concrete ? The same concept method as using dyed concrete only in half of the mold to save money , using fiber is the same way , pour dyed or not dyed concrete first in the mold then the second batch would have the fiber in the concrete , then vibrate.

Awesome video, is there a reason you don't use aggregate and plasticiser to make it stronger?
Thanks! We usually make our own concrete mix with only sand, cement, and plasticizer but I wanted to make a quick video with just premixed bags of concrete. Every mold on our website has detailed mix instructions with the amount of each material you will need per casting :)

How long does a mold this size need to set before removing the finished product?
Typically the next day, but you can speed up the process by using CSA concrete, like I did in this video- th-cam.com/video/klF9c4yz1VI/w-d-xo.html
Great video thanks

Yes, that is most common when doing countertops, you would spray the face coat and then do the backer coat which is packed full of fibers
@@GlobMarbleDo you need to add fiber when making outdoor pavers?
Great
