I've always been curious to try this brand, but haven't because they don't list the pigments used to formulate their colors like Golden, Liquitex, or other top brands do. That's a major drawback to me because I like having control over the color.
Thank you for mentioning the smell, as a fellow person who has issues with smells and finds using certain brands of paint hard to use. It’s not easy knowing which brands are safe to use or not because there are not a lot of artists that share that online in their reviews. I recently purchased these paints and found for myself (I know not everyone’s sensitivities are the same) that the smell was very minimal if not almost non existent. So coming across your video prior to making my own, I just wanted to say thank you and that Ill make sure to mention that a fellow artist has mentioned they noticed a smell.
I am sensitive to odors....never had a problem with Nova Color. Truth is the durability and vast color selection is perfect for professional artists and it is multifaceted. There is a learning curve. If you want to see examples of a Master of Nova Acrylics Paints look up the works of professional artist, Cynthia Duff...she includes minimal amount chroma color paints in her work.
You could add a little water to make it thinner, but it is very soft to begin with. I find it very easy to work with. As for thickening, here is a tutorial video for thickening acrylics I made, a section is about thickening soft body acrylic paint! th-cam.com/video/jspEKHDdarU/w-d-xo.html
Fulltime artist and have moved over to using all Nova. Love it.

Your work is beautiful! Thank you for the review.
You’re welcome! And thanks for the compliment on my art! Much appreciated :-)

Is it worth watering down this kind of acrylic to soften it? And do you have an agent you would recommend to thicken acrylics? Thanks!

Is Nova nd Basics by Liquitex about the same in quality?
Nova color is better quality than Liquitex basic pouring paint, or Liquitex basics paint.
@@KrystleColeArt Thank you so much!
