    Thanks for sharing your experience brother! I've been in the industry for 25 years and this has been a long work in progress. Starting my study prep for the October 2020 exam.

    Thank you for sharing! I’m in the same boat you were. Graduated 2009 and worked in construction the entire time. Still trying to decide which depth to take.

    Hey man, good video. Congrats on passing. It's nice to hear you talk about the struggle of putting life on hold to prep for the exam. I'll be sitting for the water resources PE in a couple of weeks and I've been prepping pretty freaking hard since early November. After working all day, I'll usually study for 2.5-3 hours after work and every weekend for 5-8 hours a day both days. The time frame meant minimal holidays involvement and fortunately, my GF and family have been very supportive. Aside from Xmas day, I haven't missed a single day of studying. I've scheduled the final 3 Mondays before the Exam off for extra time to do practice tests and I've already taken 2 full length exams. I also sprung $1100 for a class which was insanely helpful. Cross you fingers for me!

I think its BS that they will not let us use the calculators we used all through school or google!! lol I feel better after listening to your video. I will prob go take it again now! Just to say I did...

    I remember watching your video in Jan of 2019 when I had my FE scheduled.It was motivating man.
    I didnot really study for FE and it was between the semester breaks of my MS degree.(I am an intl student).
    I was regretting the week before exam for not investing the time properly to study.God was with me,I passed the FE and now started my civil engineer job thrree months ago.
    JHoping to sit for PE in APril and wanted to see this video again.Really insightful video, I am planning to review some tips and tricks this weekend and make some study schedules . I am planning to study heavily on weekends,but not sure of weekdays coz I also drive 1 hour each way on job and 8-9 hr a day of work really makes me exhausted.Did you study on weekdays ? what was your schedule like? Glad you had your family to support.

      Pradip Kandel thank you for the kind words. I’m not going to lie, it was rough. The weekends were when I did the bulk of my studying, but I did try to squeeze in a few nights during the week. It’s my opinion that down time is essential too. There is no right or wrong approach. You have to study as hard as you can so you don’t have to go through it again. Haha

    That’s very interesting video, I’m working in construction too and willing to have pe exam next year. We know that no need for pe license in construction field so what’s the benefit of having pe license in construction field?

      Fares Alraies getting the PE was a personal achievement. I am a government engineer and am not required to have a PE for my job either. So glad I finished it out though.

    Hi I am gonna take PE structural in April. Just started studying. Is my timeframe enough for April Exam? I took FE last May 2019. It is kind of fresh for me. Thank you for your response. -

    Thanks for the video. I’m gonna take it next October. What resources do you recommend for the Geotechnical exam? Do you think the CERM is enough?

    So you can retake it even after two years ?what’s the max time are you going to wait before retaking the PE? I just took mine and I don’t think I’ve passed what a horrible experience so basically want to know how long can I prepare before taking it again

    • @Jeffs_Build_Channel
      @Jeffs_Build_Channel  5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      brian smith I’m not sure how long you can wait before taking it again. You need to check with your state board. My first experience was terrible too, and I told my wife I’d never sit for it again. It was definitely worth taking it again. I’m very proud to have passed. Good luck!
