Nah, the whole point of Nivans story was helping Chris get over his PTSD, he helped Chris realise what being a leader meant and the sacrifice he needed to handle. In the end Chris managed to get over his PTSD and even became a brilliant leader which was shown in RE8 when has his own team that actually helps him a lot instead of just dying.

Anyone noticed at 0:54 that Piers looks at his BSAA patch on his normal arm and then only grabs Chris’s arm to give him the patch, signifying that it was too late for him and pushed Chris inside the escape pod. That’s how it got in his hand at the end of the scene

The moment I saw Piers hold onto the C-virus syringe I knew he was gonna use it later. I was so surprised when he took the injection after his arm cut off. I would've done the same. It was so AWESOME watching him blast volts of electricity at that giant monster. Being Chris running out of ammo while piers is using his ability and me using the knife. (The Last Weapon(s)). I knew he had to leave himself behind. The part that really got me was when piers let off his final electric charge at that fugly monster saving Chris. At first I thought Piers was just another pretty face but no. R.I.P. Piers. For the future.

This scene always breaks my heart, but it totally destroyed me after finishing RE Revelations, and listening Claire asking Piers to take care of Chris. I might be little late with this but I started Re6 this week. Just finished Chris' campaing. This scene made me all teary. I literally couldn't stop crying. Piers was a good man and always there for Chris. What he did in the end was an extreme act of loyality, which unfortunately led to a loss. I am so going to miss him. And so will Chris😭💔

Still remember this scene after all theses years. Piers' values and heart were stronger than the virus which consumed him. That's how good and powerful of a human he was. Chris always had a reason to fight back against biological weapons, but with Piers' death, Chris might be even more determined to end this for good.

Nivans deserved much more. Sincerly Chris had to die, not Nivans. Nivans had to be the new "Captain", (Chris role) in future Resident Evil. I really loved this character and his dead is sad, but expecially awful.
