I wonder if a buzzbait would work? Almost like a flying fish. Most like a chase so I could see a faster bait work great. I caught a salmon this last yr on a swim jig with a soft plastic rainbow trout body.

I have tried pink buzzbaits the past couple seasons and haven’t had anything move on em.Seemed to me like they should work too 🤷🏻‍♂️

I have thrown spooks at em and caught plenty but they miss them a lot more because of the zig-zag. A whopper plopper would be fun tho!
