Hi to you both, great video, you managed to catch us on camera a couple of times. It was a pleasure to meet with you both on the cruise, looking forward to the next.
I haven't minded Britannia previously but did miss a promenade deck and found her an awkward layout. Much prefer smaller more trad ships. Aurora very soon and looking at another Fred for a bit of pre Xmas sun.
We can see why people like the smaller ships but we did enjoy the Britannia. The layout was a bit strange and yes, I think it did need a full promenade deck.
Always wanted to know what a cruise was like from SouthHampton, now I know, thank you, I recommend you take a cruise from Miami, it is an amazing start.
I really liked your video and how informative it was from start to finish. Including we’re you stayed before your cruise. We have done Britannia before and going in her again in December over Christmas. Look forward to your next video.
So happy to see that you guys like cruising! Lots to things to see and do, you guys got a little tipsy with the drink 😂😂😂. Ya'll seem soo happy on this second cruise, im going on my very first cruise with royal caribbean and I hope I will love it just much you people do! It seem very addictive after you sail on your first!Love the vlogs, please keep them coming! 🙏 😊
We will be on the Britannia in august and looking forward to it all the way from scotland to London for 2 nights and down to Southampton. Love your video 👍
Loved your video. Looking forward to more. As you’re new to cruising did you know you can get a bucket of ice delivered to your room every day. Just ask your cabin steward.
Another enjoyable video. Informative with a dash of humour mixed in. Looking forward to part 2. Thanks guys. Always look forward to a Sunday when u usually post
Never been on Britannia so keen to see this 😊 love Iona but also the smaller ships aurora and Arcadia though miss the amount of food choice that you get on Iona - you will no doubt have noticed the much wider choice in Arvia- looking forward to watching that too 😊
I recognise you from last week!We were dreading the North Sea days but luckily we found it okay.Didn’t take tablets as we had drinks packages to slam! 😂
Ah, so you hit the Fjords. Excellent. Still pondering about this cruise but on the Iona next August possibly. Would prefer a smaller ship personally but we will see.
We really enjoyed the trip, more videos about the actual ports coming later. We did enjoy Britannia although we understand why people would prefer a smaller ship.
@@maurice8607Ponder no longer. Did this as my first cruise at the end of June and I did it solo. Would do it again without hesitation but also want to go up to the far north into the Arctic circle. Air is so clean and scenery to die for 😉👍🇳🇴📷 Didn’t go on Iona as I was told it was “very” BIG, Britannia is big enough. Also, when I booked, Iona didn’t visit Flåm which is a must.
Did that trip on 30/6/2023. Having been promised 6 days of rain really surprised we had just one. Can’t wait to do a trip up into the Arctic circle. Not a “sun seeker”
@@flydriveexplore Really enjoyed your video. Great, might have seen you without knowing it 🤣👍 The rain in Olden didn’t bother me in the least. Was out on a Fjord cruise managed to get some great moody shots on that day even in the rain. Didn’t have enough time to do everything I wanted too. Did an excursion every day, two in Flåm. Did the Stegastein viewpoint in the morning and the Flåm railway in the afternoon. Enjoyed The Privateers and Angelika Eklund. It was my first cruise and I did it “solo”. My only complaint is the single supplement, let’s face it I only eat for one person and get charged for two 🙁 Other than that really enjoyed it. Want to do the Arctic circle next 😉📷
@@flydriveexplore thanks for your reply, looking at the cost of the ships wifi not sure I will be using that, in this day and age all wifi should be available free of charge
Looking forward to Part 2, I was on the same Cruise . I remember seeing you at the Holiday Inn near the Reception Area. You said good morning to us both. We were on Deck 12. I enjoyed the Norwegian Fjords, Beautiful and Stunning. An enjoyable Cruise.
Hello again, we really enjoyed the cruise and apart from the rain day in Olden, the weather was better than expected. We've already booked our next trip!
I am booked on this ship next September. Can I OU explain the word “scrub” you use about the breakfast in buffet? I am American and we don’t use that term, does it mean “hard to find” as in hard to find food?
The word we used was 'scrum' which is a term from the sport rugby. It's when the teams fight over the ball. Like many buffets, they can be busy especially on sea days. Alternatively, you can use have breakfast in the main dining room which is less chaotic. We have recently returned from an MSC cruise and their buffet was much busier than onboard P&O.
I’ve just done the Britannia 3 to 10th my previous cruise ship I believe was the Iona of memory will need to check that If you’re main goal is to see the fjords and this ship drops off at all those specific places wow I had room with balcony deck 10 got to meet Chesney hawkes to wonderful views Norway wow can’t tell you But this is where it gets bad the ships offering off entertainment was absolutely shocking the food and optiones where no where and I mean absolutely no where near the level of my previous cruise The wait for the elevators where abysmal the ships numbers was roughly the same for size comparison as previous ship One pool table which had reviews for the cues from 8 months ago being awful went on to think they would be fixed wow there an absolute joke and to have only one pool table wow If you’re over 50 I think the ship is fine but if you’re younger it’s a bit dreary and very very basic But again even tho my previous cruise and ship destroyed the Britannia in every single aspect the places I got to visit no where near Norway so would I trade ship for that no
@@flydriveexplore yeh they where several times couple where out of commission many times gave up and took the stairs I’m fair bit younger and I don’t drink so I was hopeing there would be more like pool maybe snooker tables like games place maybe I think it’s more of mature professional ship and that’s where my experience comes in at more negative But the room the balcony was wicked to meet Chesney hawkes that was cool moment me family where chuffed with that ha and the fjords wow what a site to behold!

We hope to try one. The weather should be a bit better than Southampton.
Great video, Britannia is a lovely ship! 🛳️

Last time I stayed in Winchester the day before, it's a very nice old town to tour around.
We have stayed in Winchester but haven't tried it before a cruise
Hi Marcus, awesome live video tour. I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well, and so is my cat Benjamin. Have a great day. See you next video 😊

Arvia was a good choice for the transatlantic, despite being big we felt we had plenty of space.
splendid footage, I watch Solent Ships regularly so Cruise cam probably watched you leave. take a look.
Thanks, I will
Great video Marcus 😊

On Arvia, you could check your on-board account on the tv in your cabin. Is it the same on Britannia?
We're not sure as we used the App to check ours. Although they probably do have the same system. We are on Arvia in a couple of weeks.
@@flydriveexplore Arvia is a beautiful ship. I loved The Quays! Enjoy it.

@@flydriveexplore Thanks. Look forward to seeing more of your travels 👍
We loved britania we found the adults only pool was very relaxing and it had a bar
We were up there just before the sail away from Flam, very nice and the sun was out 👍
Have a great time.
Have you tried Akvavit (Aquavit)?
Aalborg is okay, but I recommend Linie.
No we haven't tried it yet
@@flydriveexplore Don't forget the beer chaser.
Enjoyed this vlog...what sea sickness meds do you take? X
Thanks for watching. Mel takes Kwells but she's a better traveller than me and I take Stugeron.
Forgot to add, they do work for us but they do make you drowsy and dry your mouth.
Hi, on the dining room menu there was only wine by the bottle. Can you order from the normal drinks menu also ?
Yes, you can order beer and wine by the glass in the main dining rooms.
Good afternoon, I can’t seem to find the P&O app, I have looked on the App Store but nothing ?
It's not really an App, it's a site you can access through the ship's WiFi once onboard.

Much prefer Brittania to Arvia, prefer the smaller ships.
We may be trying Arvia soon.

If you’re main goal is to see the fjords and this ship drops off at all those specific places wow

But this is where it gets bad the ships offering off entertainment was absolutely shocking the food and optiones where no where and I mean absolutely no where near the level of my previous cruise
The wait for the elevators where abysmal the ships numbers was roughly the same for size comparison as previous ship
One pool table which had reviews for the cues from 8 months ago being awful went on to think they would be fixed wow there an absolute joke and to have only one pool table wow
If you’re over 50 I think the ship is fine but if you’re younger it’s a bit dreary and very very basic
