I just love this class of cruise ship. When I first walked onboard Symphony and saw the main atrium, I was completely overwhelmed - it felt insane in there! Great to see you both on Royal Caribbean!
❤ thank you so much doing my first cruise in August one thing I love about you too you are not snobby and posh you're down-to-earth and honest and honestly that's all that matters thank you XX
Marcus looks frazzled ! It does get quieter when you find the chill places. Good to see this as thinking of going on this for a transatlantic cruise next year. Hoping be less kids on board for that one. Thanks for the video, awesome as always
Yes, you’re right. Britannia was our second cruise. This one was our tenth! We have a week with P&O in the Canaries booked for Jan and QM2 booked for March. I think we do have the bug.
Another great video. Love the honest observations of that huge ship! Are you two doing okay with storm Bert? Looks like some really bad flooding in south Wales.
Hi Barbara, we enjoyed the short cruise but 4 days on that type of ship was enough. We're both fine, we don't really get flooding in our town but further inland and in the valleys they often do. There has been a LOT of rain!
Another Brilliant Video. Like you said, A bit of a Difference between the 2 Ships. Thought that was Funny when you saud about the Ships Horn 😂😂 Hope you enjoyed Perfect Day at Coco Cay, and Nassau . Did you not have a go on the Zip line on the ship, Marcus ??? Looking forward to the next Installment. 😊
Really enjoyed watching this. Breakfast looked good but not sure we’ll be booking on Allure of the Seas anytime soon even though we love fun and frivolity.
Hi Marcus& Mel! I really enjoy your videos! I just wanted to let you know that Allure is overdue for her Amplification. It was delayed due to Covid. She is going into dry dock in Spain at the end of February 2025 and she'll come out in April after more than $100 million in improvements! We are set to board her on Easter Sunday for a 7-night cruise. By the way, I am a travel agent and I'd be happy to help you with any bookings!!
Thanks for the update, we heard she was going in for a refit. The couple we met on Apex and Allure of the Seas are on the Allure again for the crossing back over to Europe, probably the cruise to the refit.
I really wish you guys picked an oceanview balcony facing outside the ocean on floors 10 and up. The interior balconies facing inside of the ship are very noisy, have a limited view and have too much going on. I went on Harmony of the Seas and it was very large but spacious and not too noisy. Also, if you dont care about all the bells and whistles, then you will not enjoy an Oasis or Icon class ship. Our cabin was an oceanview balcony and it was very peaceful and quiet on the 11 floor. Hopefully, you give Royal a try again on a different ship. Great review and video!
Try out Plas Llanmihangel in cowbridge Llanmihangel is a stunning hamlet recently renovated by the owners of the estate top private home but lovely area and pub near by
That is a good point, but I think a ship intensifies the experience. Also, at different times in your life, you may like different things. As we said, it wasn't for us but still enjoyed the trip but wouldn't choose to go on this type of ship in the near future. Yes, we do ❤️ you Americans.
definitley wrong ship for you guys. you need the enchantment or serenade of the seas. celebrity is premium cruising. you guys need holland america or ncl pearl
@@Mel_FlyDriveExplore yes, more classic cruising. no water slides. enchantment is bigger. i took my mother in law on the Enchantment and she enjoyed it, was walkable for her. i wouldnt sail the enchantment for 5-7 days unless it was port intensive or i would be bored. im gen x
I wouldn't necessarily say the wrong ship, more the wrong length of sailing. Those 3-4 days are always known as the booze cruises. They really needed the 7+ days.

My wife and I were on this same cruise. We were actually able to spot ourselves in the background of your video! We really enjoyed Allure.
Glad you enjoyed, nice to be in the warm weather. We're back in cold and wet Wales.

Totally agree! We would try them again but maybe on a different itinerary.

Cheers, we hope to give our personal opinion. We know people do like very different things so what may not be for us, maybe great for someone else.
Loved the video Marcus, keep up great work your doing
Thanks so much

The transatlantic part was on Celebrity which was very relaxing.
@flydriveexplore yes i know, the Allure has a cheap cruise from Barcelona next year going transatlantic
Very informative and honest review, I really enjoyed it 😊
Thanks again for watching
we saw you on board P&O Britannia the Norwegian fjords ,i believe you were new to cruising then...seems you really have the bug now !
Yes, you’re right. Britannia was our second cruise. This one was our tenth! We have a week with P&O in the Canaries booked for Jan and QM2 booked for March. I think we do have the bug.
@flydriveexplore yes there is no cure I'm afraid !

We did enjoy Coco Cay that should be coming up in next week's video 👍
Really enjoyed watching this. Breakfast looked good but not sure we’ll be booking on Allure of the Seas anytime soon even though we love fun and frivolity.
There's a time and a place for fun and frivolity 🤣
Great video, but it looks crazy. Did you sleep okay with the noise facing into the ship?
Thanks, luckily the noise on the decks and in the middle of the ship stopped in the evening.
I agree it sounds like too much music going on. Excellent video keep it up.
Thanks, will do!
Cool vlog
Cheers

Thanks for the tips. I think we would try them again if the itinerary is good.
@@SandcastleGirl thanks I think the ship wasn’t right for us but would try RC again
I think it would be ok for a short cruise but any longer No…. Love your vlogs😊
Yes, It was a fun cruise for families for a short weekend but not much longer.

Will take a look 👍
The house has a rich history and dates from 1047 one of the oldest surviving private homes in wales lots of info on instagram or online
Church opposite is lit by candles with no electricity and hosts a carol service
Was the home to Lord Mayor of London and has had royal visits such an incredible home with more history on line or on the website
Went on the Mariner of the Seas out of Galveston last month. Loud ship with hardly any quiet spaces. Great for families though.
Sounds very similar to our experience although we did find one quiet place.
Great vid. Can I ask what mic you use? I’ve tried a few cheap ones and I feel you get what you pay for. Thanks 😊
On this, I use the DJI Mic 2 - a wireless system. Rode wireless mics are very good too.
@@flydriveexplore great thanks for the reply. Much appreciated 🙌
Hi Marcus awesome live video I enjoyed it. How are you doing? I'm doing well and so is my cat Benjamin. Have a great weekend see you next video 😊
Hi both, have a good weekend.
Noisy lots of kids! One of them knocked on our door and ran! I was pissed.
Interesting you have been to Las Vegas, USA and that is just as loud and noisy I don’t recall the negativity. An American ❤

You're probably right. We had a good time in the Bahamas but probably wouldn't cruise on a ship this size again.
are those ships smaller?
@@Mel_FlyDriveExplore yes, more classic cruising. no water slides. enchantment is bigger. i took my mother in law on the Enchantment and she enjoyed it, was walkable for her. i wouldnt sail the enchantment for 5-7 days unless it was port intensive or i would be bored. im gen x
