Boland Memorial Tribute Inflations Sept 11, 2021

Post Mills Airport Thetford, VT On September 11, 2021 balloon pilots from around the Country gathered at the Post Mills Airport for a mass static display of hot air balloons that were designed and built by Brian J. Boland. Brian was killed in a ballooning accident in July 2021. This memorial tribute was the largest display in the World of homemade hot air balloons that were all created by a single person, Brian Boland. Approximately 45 envelopes were inflated by ballooning friends who used their own baskets and burners attached to the Boland envelopes. Brian built over 180 hot air balloons in his lifetime.
