    I brought one of these cheap Hong Kong tools for £46!!! To remove the wheel the wheel nuts of a lorry that had been sat abandoned for 20+ years and let me tell you that they were rusted and stubborn. This cheap tool removed them with ease...no problems at all. The best cheap tool that i have ever invested in. All the best from the UK.

    I got one of these torque multipliers and it's awesome. I took mine apart and filled it with moly EP grease.

    This tool is used just like an air impact gun except it is used by hand. When you tighten the nuts use the same force as when you loosened them or you may snap the studs off.

  • @JohnVH-diy
    @JohnVH-diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    Yes. 175 nm is equal to 129 ft lbs. It will loosen and tighten to about 300 ft lbs. which is what most semi truck lug nuts are torqued to.

    There’s a big snap ring that you need a big snap ring pliers to remove. Any auto parts store sells them.

    Reminds me of a vid i saw of a guy breaking steel rods using motors and lego gears. He even built a “Googol:1 ratio device” (a googol is 10 to the 100th power).

      I remember, as a small boy, asking my dad about gear ratios.
      He told me:
      "If you geared it with enough reduction, your wristwatch could move a car up a steep hill. And, since you are young; you might live long enough to see it reach the top."

    I wouldn’t recommend using an air gun on this tool. The gears are crudely made and wouldn’t hold up to the impact.

    Hey I was doing change brake pads but that truck has same what u doing that my first time do that but I don’t have tool for that one I have to order it . when take off nuts and budd studs . What best way when put it back must have tool to hold budd studs or just put it back as like put nuts back air impact... like 8 budd studs use air impact then 8 nuts use air impact again .

    • @JohnVH-diy
      @JohnVH-diy  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      As you see in the video, it also works on bud studs.

    • @JohnVH-diy
      @JohnVH-diy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It should remove any lug nut although if there is significant rust they may need some heat from a torch so the studs won’t snap off.

    • @JohnVH-diy
      @JohnVH-diy  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I’ve never had a lug nut this thing couldn’t remove. If they’re really rusted on then you may have to heat them with a torch. Otherwise a regular air gun will do.
