Installed this exact piece last month. The key for us was to secure one side first, lined up, and then moderately sending it on the opposing side until it was flush, but it eventually lined up with the bumper edge in the end. One guy squeezing it into place and the other sending the bolts

I rolled the dice on the ECS carbon diffuser and it turned out perfect but the install was pure hell. Needed an extra set of hands to push towards the back of the car while pushing the diffuser towards the front to get the clips to go in. Install is not for the faint of heart
Yeah I had a fun time installing mine. Sadly after I upgraded from a res delete to a remus exhaust, my tips don't sit nice and snug under the diffuser. I'm guessing the shop did a mod that screwed it up =/. Still looks cool but not as OEM+ as I'd like
I have the carbon fiber version with an Remus exhaust and wasn’t impressed with the fit or look. Ended up putting the factory diffuser back on. Still haven’t found a good solution.

I do as well and only missing the diffuser (hence why I'm here looking for options) but I refuse to pay $700 when I don't track the car. I'm upset that @Aerofabb mentioned making a cheaper street version and then sold out to focus on the MK8.
@@mikeymarenco5791 if you watch any of vag- uhs videos he did a whole 50 min video he bought every single spoiler from every company that sold them for mk7 /mk7.5 and aerofabb was easily the best with packaging and everything so yeah it might be expensive but you're not gonna get much better
@@Mk7.5shelby yes, I have their front splitter, skirts and spoiler extension... their packing is great but that isn't going to justify buying a track part for a daily driver... that is where that company fails... not everyone is interested in shaving milliseconds off their grocery run lol

Is the diffuser fitment supposed to be that bad on the Mk7.5 Golf R? Isn't this diffuser marked as compatible for the Mk7.5 Golf R?

installed one for my friend it was really annoying to put I ended up using crazy glue but it looks really nice I got a maxton for mine

$200 might not be that much but it’s plastic, it should at least line up properly. I’d call them. It does look sick

Aerofabb makes a diffuser and it's much better quality and better brand overall and they make them to fit the exact model of the car
