I've seen plenty of shredder videos, and there are lots of machines that shred tires easily. Good video. ♡ T.E.N.

If your using the Extec like I used we had to have steel pipe running around the top of the box with holes drilled every like 3 inches. We ran water up to it with a standard garden hose. It makes the tires shred way easier. And ours would need a new fuel filter like every week for what ever reason. So towards Thursday or Friday it would bog down real hard and reverse itself after hitting only like two tires.

AS THE INVENTOR OF SHEAR SHREDDERS MOST GROUPS DO NOT PUT THE RIGHT TORQUE TO THE APPLICATION AND THIS IS A GENERIC MAKE OF A SHEAR SHREDDER AND FOR SURE ITS NOT TORQUED DOWN TO JUST SHRED...SEE US AT SHREDPAX SHREDDERS OR EIDAL SHREDDERS INVENTORS SINCE 1966

It needs a cutter ever three shredders or so, in order to stop it from getting jammed .

These shears are more suitable for engine blocks and hard metals than for tires

I'll bet the owner found there was something wrong with this unit . These Extec shredders employ around 500hp and I'm seeing less that 140 effective power there.

It needs lubrication. You're supposed to toss in one Mexican a month to fix that.

the notches are to large. instead of them being huge like that, make them the size of SSI's shredders

Lubricant is missing here. Water could do the job.

THE CONCEPT IS GOOD BUT THEY ARE NOT SHEAR SHREDDER EXPERTS LIKE WE ARE AT SHREDDERHOTLINE AND EIDALKUBOTA SHREDDER GROUP AND THE INVENTOR OF THIS DESIGN IS STILL ALIVE - DAN BURDA WHO CAN BE FOUND IN THE INTERNET AS WELL AS HIS COMPANIES SHREDDERHOTLINE OF USA AND CANADA

I think at this Machine is something wrong, not really powerfull and way too slow.
But anyway, tires are a very Hard Meterial to crush.

your gonna burn you clutch pads out so fast having the engines stop and reverse so much. Get your blades resurfaced and your cut will be much better

that machine is slow and the loader way too big and expensive for that job.

Somebody paid a lot of money for something that was only good for bicycle tires. I can't believe it that they don't. He could put two or three tires on the size of that machine and all it would do is barely work. I think it was only good for bicycle tires. Somebody spent a lot of money for nothing I know this video was from 13 years ago but I hope they got something better than that

  • @tshorse

sure waste a lot of time and fuel with that dumb excavator. I would have the grinder way lower and then push the tires into the tub with a loader......and other ways too.

Great idea, but maybe if it was down lower it might be safety issue with OSHA
