- We passed miles of stunning scenery as we sailed into Olden , this is when a balcony comes into its own.
Lots of low cloud made the view look very eerie.
Our plan was to take the Loen Sky lift to the top and hopefully admire the view. Unfortunately when we arrived there was a lot more low cloud . We had picked the bus up from besides the ship , it runs every 15 minutes .
Even in the cloud it was still a great experience as we reached the top.
We spent a few hours at the top before enjoying the journey back down .
On returning to the ship we decided to hop on the Noddy train that took us on a scenic trip around Olden for 70 minutes.
Sail away was great as the locals wave you off with music and flag waving, quite emotional. Olden was one of our favourite places on this cruise .Views on the sail out of Olden was just as breathtaking.

Beautiful place , we are going back next year but on P&O . It has a slightly different itinerary. As for the singing TH-cam blocked the original footage because of copyright. So I bribed Pearl with a bottle of wine , bless her 🥂. Thanks for watching A&J hope you are both well .XX❤️❤️
Loving this, brings back memories of our Fjord cruise, i didn't realise that was Pearl singing I thought it was a member of the Headliners theatre company. Well Done Pearl, its a Yes from me🎉 Golden Buzzer
Hi Tony , Golden Buzzer she will be pleased 😂😂 . I’m afraid Copyright stopped us from putting the original soundtrack up for the Sail away . So I had to come up with an alternative and I thought who do I know who can sing, no one, so it had to be Pearl 😩. We absolutely loved the Fjords and the ship . Oh Pearl, bloody brilliant singing! That olden sailaway will stick in my mind forever - enjoyed it in an infinity whirlpool and also shed a few tears, just magical ❤right, I need to stop watching you two lunatics and do something productive on my day off 😅😅 will enjoy the rest with a vino later, never tire of you two 😉
Isn’t it great , the sail away from Olden . Sounds like the best way to do it in an infinity whirlpool. As for Pearls singing 😂 we couldn’t play the original sound because of copyright. So I came up with the next best thing 😂🤣. Try and enjoy the rest of your day , and thank you for those lovely comments.X

Liked the sound quality of the mic's when you were both way apart on the mountain...Although, I think they made strange noises when pearl sings.... Nice vid.....👏👏

Oh my goodness this video is the best yet! It was so good to see what you did in Olden. We took the bus tour which was excellent. Shame you couldn’t see anything from the top of the Skylift. Our cabin was dead opposite the information bureau so we had a terrific view and experience too. I got just as emotional as Pearl did and even thinking about it makes me emotional. All the taxi drivers, bus drivers, &noddy train driver were all there waving too! What a great experience it was. I think Pearl did an excellent re-enactment of the music you couldn’t play. The second one had me in stitches. Well done Pearl! If we are ever on another cruise at the same time & you do Karaoke I must remember tissues! All joking aside you did pretty well singing A capella. Can’t wait for Bergen! ~ Lin xx

Hopefully it brought back some happy memories for you .Olden was our favourite port , beautiful in any weather It would have been better on the Sky lift if we could have seen a bit more , but it was still very enjoyable, that cloud gave it an eerie feel. Sounds like you were in pole position for the sail away . Your right very emotional, Pearl was blubbering through most of it 🤣. We would have much sooner played the original sound but you know what it’s like with the copyright.Pearl is very happy that you thought she did an alright job , it certainly gave us a great laugh when she was doing it . The scenery is so beautiful! I'm not sure I could do the tram up the mountain. Not big on heights. Those streams were great, and they must have had torrential rain. Got a kick out of Pearl singing. I agree about the balcony. Just watching it all go by. I'm so glad you both are enjoying this trip. Pearl has some nice dresses. Glad you are making friends. I talk to everyone myself. Hi Rene , yes the scenery is beautiful, all that cloud gives it a magical feel. Didn’t get the best views going up the tram because of the rain , they could have done with some wipers . It is one of the steepest in Europe. That’s nice to say about Pearl and her dresses, she did look lovely I must admit . You would love being on board especially as you say you are very social. What a shame, we have heard a lot of negative comments about MSC . Ships always look great , but the service always gets a slagging off .

We did that trip in June, it was still covered in snow, it was cloudy for us as well. Bumped into a friend up top who was on Iona, we were on Sky, we didn’t know that the other was in Olden that day.
