I would like to recommend two of their songs which are my favorite: the bard song, soulforged, the second song is about a very famous character from fantasy stories

Only Blind Guardian can do Raistlin justice musically. :)

The song is about Greek mythology, specifically Cassandra. Zeus gave her the gift of foreseeing the future. But Hera, the jealous wife of Zeus, could not take back the gift, but she added the curse that people did not believe any of her prophecies. They also set Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time novel cycle to music.

Debating about starting to listen to the series because of Blind Guardian. But it's a little daunting to start.

Hang on i thought it was apollo that gave her the gift of vision as hes the god of prophecies and then cursed her with no one beliving her prophecies after she rejected him.

When you finish your acquaintance with the ayreon universe, try to return to this wonderful band again :) The most iconic and interesting songs in my opinion are "Nightfall", "The Bard's Song", "Time Stands Still", "A Past And the Future Secret", " Imaginations from the Other Side", "Bright Eyes", "Punishment Divine", "Battlefield", "Sacred Worlds". Thanks for the love of music and great reactions!

Love Blind Guardian. Try their new song - 'Secrets of the American Gods', based on Neil Gaiman's novel.

I listened to that book because of their song, although the book wasn't really what I thought it might be. Didn't make a ton of sense to me, then again I didn't even read the back cover of it, haha.

@@senditkevin I really enjoyed the book. I read it several years ago. I like Neil Gaiman's writing and have a love of mythology, so perfect for me. But if you did not know what you were getting into, I can understand your reaction

@@robynturnham2706 A couple series I have really liked have been "Sythe" and "The Star Shard Choronicles" by Niel Shusterman.

They threw you into the deep end with this band. i think this song is too complex for its own good, but it does show how good this band is. This is advanced stuff, probably better to start with more conventional songs like :"Imaginations from the Other Side", "Somewhere Far Beyond", "Valhalla", "Nightfall". They did a full concept album based on Tolkien's "The Silmarillion" called "Nightfall in Middle Earth". i recomment doing the full album if you like that kind of stuff. Some of the tracks are just interludes, so you'd have to weed those out from the full songs.
This is the singer that was doing "River of Time" with Marco in Ayreon, btw. He also did a song with Avantasia called "The Raven Child".

This is complex enough, I do think this is not the best song to get into the band, but this one is one of their best. It's just that you need a lot to enjoy it properly, It was a little painful to listen this from youtube actually because you loose so much.

Great videa and reaction! Listened to this song many times before i realised it was about the Illiad. Oblivion was great, but Morrowind was even better. :)

If you don't know them yet, try "Opeth" with "Ghost of Perdition" or "Harlequin Forest" or "Deliverance" :)

yeah the Nightfall In Middle earth album is one of my favorites, But this is not from that album. Also Battlefield is a good song. but the entire album of Nightfall in middle earth is a masterpiece.
