I am so glad I found your channel. Makes me wanna quit when such high quality and entertaining reviews like this exist. Thank you for being to the point, concise while being thorough.
Thanks for the review, I might have to pick one of these up. This fits a use case for me, work and travel, where the form factor isn't an issue, and I tend to listen to power hungry planars, so this might fit the bill. Also, the ability to connect via toslink will be nice for connecting to hotel flat screens no more worrying about getting the phone call from the front desk to turn off that movie because "it's quiet time."
The sound quality has improved significantly, but as has been pointed out here, the sound and video are not quite in sync. Nevertheless, the rating was easy to guess pretty much from the start, which means that this is again a scientifically comprehensible top review. Many thanks again at this point for mentioning: it's not a hobby! - It can't be said often enough.
I'd been thinking of mounting this thing in a cutout of the wooden furniture my amplifier stands on. It has a little edge on the front/top plate so it might look mighty good.
Go for it! That’s a great idea. Run the headphone cable from underneath. It has the lip around the top that would let it drop in perfectly if the hole was cut out to the proper size.
yes usb 2.0 is 2.5w but you should have plugged in in usb 3.0 that is 4.5w to get more power which i believe is required to get the max 1100mW@32 ohms output advertised
Blutack. Just stick it to the desk upright with blutack. Does it sound better then the k11 or Ka11 whatever it's called thing? Can you review some dongle dacs? The r2r ones maybe? Cayin u6, Hiby fc6? Recently they have become very good.
I don't know - if you really want to stand it vertically with the knob and display facing you then wouldn't you simply lay it on its side length-ways or a I missing something?
@@scientificaudiophile I suppose if you have a neck made of assorted hobby pipe-cleaners, packing beads, masking tape and prayers then yes, yes it would.

I agree. Tried a $200 Sony mic - static. Tried a $125 Rodes mic - static. Tried the default mic on my camera - static. I think the camera is at fault. I'm going to try and record directly via the PC and sync the video and audio in post for the next video.
@@scientificaudiophile that's what I do. I use the sound recorded by the camera to make a sync with the external sound recording very easy. Gotta love resolve but others could do it too, don't know if it is as easy these days 😎
The audio quality of this video make me nostalgic. I remember my first little plastic PC loudspeakers.

Right....we are looking at you Zeos 😁
Nice video. Lip sync was like in old Kung Foo movies. Any chance of reviewing Douk U3 ?
Thanks. Douk U3 isn’t on my radar right now.
Audio quality indeed improved, Chris! =)
It is slightly out of sync, but i like the change 😊

It would be perfect for that application.
This was a good review, I own a SK02, and I can say that I am very happy with it.
You could measure the frequency response via loopback with a splitter

FOSI has the balls to keep sending you stuff after giving them a negative review.

The sound is fine and the out of sync made it funny. :)
Wow 30 years without a partner no music can cure that one....
You really should take a look at and review the Arylic BP50!

So which one should I buy to use with my he400se? SK02or FiiO K11? 🙏
I’d go with the K11.
@@scientificaudiophilewould you take the fiio k11 for $119 or SMSL c200 used for $125

i'll listen again with my headphones later

It sounds as good as the K11, but lacks the 1,100 milliwatts of power, but it doesn’t need an AC adapter.
Can you power the open x or thr verum with this?
Easily. Never clipped, using the 4 mm balanced.
Did you have plan to review the sk01?
@@govgamers2821 No, I do not.

No idea. Sorry.

Headphones are just what you use if you can't get a room.
Nice when you don’t want to disturb others, but nothing like a set of great speakers.
