I've traveled the world staying in hostels to Hiltons and one minor detail that all of my friends agree is often overlooked are hooks. You can't have too many hooks & the like to hang all of the gear and articles that always seems to proliferate on holiday. Just a thought. Love the channel and hope to see your hotel next year. Cheers.

I think the “short time-long time resort and spa” would add a touch of class to the business😂. No seriously Tim I wish you much success in this business endeavor. You’re renovating at the right time being low season. I would seriously love to book a week with my wife at the location. I always visit her from the United States in the Issan region of Thailand. We always talk about going to the beach but we end up going up near the Mekong river. I am definitely going to put a bug in her ear that she is a Thai person that has never been to the beach in Phuket or Pattaya. I’m going to be there in August through September. I would seriously love to book a stay at your resort, and I wish your business, the best of luck.

Happy to see the project underway! I really enjoy these types of construction or makeover videos in Thailand. It gives me an idea on what styles, materials, and costs are involved. Shopping around for stuff certainly can be creatively fun as well when you're starting a new project. The room's interior looks quite good, which should expedite the refurbishing. Looking forward to the next update. 😃

the problem with the tiles I had myself too. One day a cleaning lady who was in charge to clean the whole house, just poured toiled cleaner out of the bottle all over the tiles, in the living room, which of course destroyed the glace of all the tiles. Imaging my anger I had to hold back after i encounter such a stupidity!
Luckily I could sell the house a few years later with a profit. Never turn your back on staff like this, or clean it yourself!

From experience black and white tiles are used in Freemasonic temples and churches. Tend to make one dizzy, not sure if they would work in a cafe. Anyway thats my two cents. Love the vids!

Tim, head over to Singapore and stay at the Raffles Hotel for a day or two with a fountain pen, a journal, and a polaroid camera. And absorb it all in. The vision of your hotel seems to share the ambience and 'personality traits' of Raffles Hotel. And after this short stint, you're gonna be back at your hotel with an abundant of ideas to orchestrate a far better experience, compared to what we have here in Singapore.

    • @tinseldrawn

Friends of mine have a small resort in Michigan and they started using it on their DIY assembly Adirondack chairs and are seeing they don't get loose from use and shuffeled around.
