Hi Michael! I've recently bought an M310, so it is under warranty. Since the beginning, the scooter is having a knocking noise on the front, under the plastic mask, it's like something is loose and hitting the plastic. The guys from the authorized service in Romania, told me that the noise is due to the suspension and is nothing to do. I was pretty shocked when I heard this answer and I tried to confirm this bad news with other Zontes users and it seems that is true. Almost everyone is facing the same issue. The sound is annoying and It makes you feel uncomfortable adding to this the fact that the scooter is new. Please, can you tell me if you're facing the same problem?
Hi, I have never heard of this from owners in UK, the front forks five down under breaking, si I would do your own examination, check the front brake lines going to the caliper are fixed properly and not rubbing against the front fender etc, you and a friend can do the examination if one of you hold the front brake and press forward so the forks five while other person is looking and listening, with engine off of course,
Hello from Hellas. I have also recently bought a 310M and I am also facing the exact same issue!!! And the problem isn't while braking but while riding and passing through potholes or bumps .
@@hmmr1550 hi I'm sorry I don't, the buying shop does not state either, I would email or call your local zontes dealer, maybe dr.pulley might know as well
Gentleman, I have a problem with my Zontes M310 and it loses power at low rpm when accelerating on slight slopes. There was also a very annoying sound like metal-on-metal friction. The clutch was changed and the sound disappeared but the bike was left with a Strange vibration and loss of power when being in short periods of low rpm in traffic, could you help me? I am in Colombia and here it is difficult to find adequate mechanical support for this motorcycle.
hi may i ask how many miles the scooter done, its very rare the clutch would need changing as they tend to last the life of the motorcycle, did you use a zontes original clutch or aftermarket dr pulley etc?? generally its the rollers that would need changing at 30,000 miles or the belt at 20,000 miles i would ask whom ever changed your clutch just to pull of the outer casing to check that the belt is sitting properly between the roller variator centre and the rear clutch, and the belt is not damaged,,,, slipping can be caused by rear clutch not engaging properly, or the 8 rollers in the variator not sliding up their ramps to grip the belt as the variator reguires cleaning. also with the transmission cover off, you may start the bike and rev slightly to ensure the belt is sat properly and the running of belt is smooth
@@michaelphillips1959 The bike has barely 7,250 miles, the clutch was changed directly at the distributor's dealership, they said that the sound and loss of power was due to the fact that the clutch was not expanding and contracting towards the bell as it should, generating the sounds of friction and loss. strength, the bike still has a warranty so I don't dare take it to another mechanic to have them look at it in more detail. I'm really a little bored because I love this bike but those details and uncertainty don't let me be calm with it, the The bearings have not been replaced nor the belt, it could be a factory fault, I cannot say more since I do not know mechanics, that is why I accuse you who I see know a lot about the subject and this motorcycle.
@@jonnyariza1102 i would take it back to the dealershio and explain what is going on since they changed the clutch, as this is not a common problem with this scooter, they must rectify the issue, and check they put the belt back correctly sat in the centre of variator etc,
mate , mine does the same, but totally random . can i get a contract from you , i'm curious to see how you fixed it ? mine does when i accelerate hard at around 20-40 km/h . i doesn't do it at slopes or anything .
