Emma has so much more control of her voice than the other contestants. She is in perfect control of her vibrato and is hitting notes the others can only dream of. She is also very smart. Watch how she steps forward out of line to draw attention to herself among the bigger kids in the segment with the original artists. Emma is true warrior. She is very special indeed.
I loved how this compilation from The Voice Lids showed her growth over those 8 songs, how tiny & young she looked in the 1st song, how competitive she was in the 2nd even if she started looking a bit apprehensive, how totally confident she started the 4th song & already working the camera by the 6th song.
Sorry about the “wife reaction” but, as you apparently appreciated the links I suggested in my comment on your Voilà! Reaction, may I suggest two more. These aren’t musical performance links, but amateur videos showing her reception in her home town after winning The Voice. A search “emma kok school” will show her reception by pupils and teachers at her school (where she sings for them). A search “emma kok drive through” will show the townspeople driving past home, flags waving, balloons, …. . In both videos she has her red life-support backpack and feeding tubes - she is rarely FREE , unlike you and I. I realize these videos are not material for musical Reactions, but you seemed so taken by this courageous young lady that I thought you might like to watch them for yourself when you have 20 minutes spare (coffee break ?).
