If you do a second "Talking Cello" with Ionita can you please ask how many months/years it took to prepare for Tchaikovsky Competition? How many hours a day would he study?

I‘ve been a fan of Andrei Ionita since I first heard him in the first round of the ARD Competition in Munich. I made a bet with a fellow cellist, whose favourite cellist would win, and boom, he won the second prize. Such wonderful playing. His Shostakovitch concerto no.1 really brought me into Shostakovitches music and inspired me as a cellist. I know you competed there, too Pablo, but I didn‘t get to hear you until the semi-finals (but I also did like your playing). Keep up this format on your channel it’s so inspiring to listen to all my cellist idols talk about their craft and how they are doing in times of Covid. Can‘t wait to hear them live again in concerts😍

Your videos are always inspiring and full of love and passion! ❤ A question, have you tried performing with earplugs? I don't perform but I find they make the feeling more intimate. Maybe it will help with not feeling naked when playing in big halls. Take care! 😸
Hola Pablo, disculpa mi atrevimiento. Escribí lo siguiente escuchando la pregunta de las variaciones rococó. Espero que pueda ser de ayuda. "Que tipo de pensamientos tienes en ese momento ( concierto, ensayo con orquesta..), si están en el problema, en el miedo o duda. Incluso solo es notar esa fuerza que inhibe el movimiento. Ese tipo de pensamientos son muy variados. Todo lo que tienda en ese momento a pensar las cosas fuera de la fuerza creativa de la música va a limitar el movimiento y dejar espacio para que el miedo entre. En ese momento mi pensamiento está en la incapacidad, en el problema, mi cuerpo se bloquea, tiende a inhibirse Si estoy en la solución, que es la creación de una imagen o gesto imaginativo ligada a la naturaleza de lo que estoy tocando, que va ligado a la sensación y al movimiento, donde provoco un sentimiento de facilidad del movimiento. Pensar desde la música todo ese gesto imaginativo.Tu cuerpo tiende a expandirse y aparta todo lo relacionado con la duda el miedo. Es una lucha interna.Y aprender en que tipo de pensamiento estoy es tremendamente valioso" Saludos
