There is a crystal clear version with excellent sound - but great that you've put Chisel on!!

Aussies are loving your reactions. Great to see you found this one. You are now officially a Chisel fan. This was from their Last Stand tour just before they broke up the first time. So now you have had a chance to see them at an earlier time and in their prime. There are still plenty of earlier stuff 73-83 to discover and plenty from when they got back together again. 1997-2010. And heaps of solo stuff from Jimmy to discover...personally I think his voice is even better now than it was back then.
Can't wait to see what you discover next.

Love how Barnsey dragged Mossey over on the floor and yet Mossey didn’t miss a beat on that guitar of his! 😂

I knew the saying "make the guitar sing" but if you listen around that part ... he is literally making his guitar sing (as well as the very beginning of the track).

Love the way Mossy interacts with Jimmy's vocals all the way through and especially with the cry from the audience.

Awesome reaction Roskoe, yep he’s the epitome of all things wild! Jimmy drowned his childhood trauma in drugs and alcohol for many many years, it was said he’d easily knock back a bottle of vodka before a performance. He’s now “stone cold” sober and his voice is still 💯

Keep in mind Jimmy was very drunk in this....a bottle of vodka or something before each show and more during.... he is at his best here, the soul of what we love about him and the band! Try "Saturday Night " for a classic beautiful song, co-sung by Ian Moss. Xxxx

This, apparently, was written about a certain Dr Kap who was just a wee thing at the time. But now she's wild about everything. She'll be wild about this version of her song; she'll be wild about my statement; she'll be wild about...wilderness. The song was first released by the Chip Taylor and the Wild Ones in1965, then the Troggs a year later.

Well they didn’t have to be that good to beat the original group that recorded it The Wild Ones as they sounded like a group of cats caterwauling, but although The Troggs version was catchy it was just so vanilla, compared to the raw passion of Jimmy Barnes and the rest of Cold Chisel, special mention to Ian Moss as usual.

Fair enough l suppose it all depends on your interpretation of the song but l think you are going a bit too far with the frilly business and Jimmy Barnes Lol And l like my vanilla ice cream with something on top to keep it from being that just a little too bland. Sorry l couldn’t resist.

The reason Jimmy hasn't blown out his Vocal Cords is when he sings he uses his false vocal cords when he talks he uses his actual vocal cords. According to Jimmy his doctor explained it to him.

They are the vestibular folds of mucous membrane at the back of your epiglottis. They don’t produce any sound but they allow changes in airflow and for a singer, help safeguard the true cords from damage. Jimmy does use these false cords but he also uses vocal growls and stretching techniques. The most aggressive type of vocal for the voice is scream singing and he actually does very little of this.

this recording was probably done in the very early to mid 80's, notice how there are ZERO phones recording, this was back in the days where people went to concerts to watch and listen to the band
Also probably should be noted that this was also during a time when jimmy was renown for drinking a bottle of vodka before a show, so he was probably have drunk off his face
