Dear Mike and Melissa, Greetings from the UK. My wife, Sally, and I live in the Peak District of England, (roughly in the middle of England). I am by profession a paramedic and am semi retired. I still volunteer within a Mountain Rescue Team in the Peak District. My wife is a Director of Nursing for a Hospice and she will retire in two weeks time, ( but is going back part time almost straight away!). I have just got home from assisting with a Missing Person search, and I find that listening to your channel just gives me something to focus on and take my mind away from what I may have been doing in the Rescue Team. I was very fortunate to be invited to Eastern Pennsylvania in 2018 to speak at an EMS Conference in the Poconos National Park area. My hosts were absolutely delightful people and I wished I could have stayed longer to see more of the USA, but I had to go back to work, (London Ambulance Service at that time). My wife and I would love to come over to the USA and spend a number of months just touring around. Hopefully this will become possible again soon! All the best from “The Whitmore Family”. Kind regards, David Whitmore
Retired after 43 years as an electrical engineer here in the Piedmont area of NC. Enjoying woodworking, camping, working our 6-1/2 acres with my tractor. Currently finishing up cutting a 200' secondary driveway. Love watching you guys for ideas and inspiration, keep the hits coming!

Merry Christmas to everyone! I started to read all the comments and thumbs up everyone in appreciation of all the hard work they chipped in to make our country what it is, there were too many. It shows how much we need each and every one of you all to keep us a free society , and how much we need to help everyone else blend in, and get a fair shot. I'm a retired residential homebuilder, carpenter, roofer, electronics technician-pay telephone circuit board repair, customer service computer support, electrical tech for heavy equipment, defense plant worker, owned and built 6 houses and a five acre ranch. Oh, I worked on a potato farm in Rhode Island when I was in high school. I don't think we even have a real farm left here. I also had a sawmill and a couple little farm tractors, and I used to have a couple of heifer calves that would eat breakfast out if a dish I held on my knee. I'm not done yet. I was a deacon at a church and I have to get back to finish that. The Lord commanded us to go out into the world and spread the good news of Jesus Christ but no where in the Bible does he say we can retire from that duty.

Started in open cut mining 23 yrs ago, did a stint in Drill & Blast after my initiation on a Cat 777 rigid dump truck, in addition to my engineering duties, quickly moved onto civil infrastructure. Now I run projects - on the last one, an airport project, we were burning 140,000 L of diesel every day (37,000 gallons). BUT - I’ve got 27 acres of Aussie bush land with a lot of big hardwood (blackbut, mahogany, bloodwood, red gum, blue gum) and I’ve learned a lot from you on your channel. Chainsaws, splitting and stacking firewood, tractor work, great stuff. Got a saw mill too! Thanks for what you do on one of my favourite channels. Cheers mate. Jason.
Mike, I was an electrical:software engineer that worked at several companies that made VLSI (Very Large Scale Integrated circuits. I wrote programs that tested large microprocessors like Intels Pentium CPUs. I worked for Motorola, Hewlett-Packard, Toshiba and many others until my wife and I started our own consulting company. We would contract to generate the software and codes to test those really large processor devices. It was good money. We were living in Utah but had apartments in many places where the ICs were being developed. We flew all over the world to service contracts. We finally settled down in Loveland Colorado for 28 years where I went to work with Hewlett-Packard. I retired and we moved to just outside Austin in Central Texas. We love it here. The weather is great, no snow, and Texans are a friendly jot of folk. We love your channels on TH-cam. I especially love Melissa’s “Off-The-Leash”. Retired after 30 years working with developmentally abled adults. It was a great job. My husband is now retiring after 39 years of self employed carpet cleaner. We cut firewood, both of us have our pilot's license, and recently began building wood projects. So many things we want to do. We are blessed.
I work for a PVC pipe plant. There must be a building boom going on as we can't keep up with all the orders we get. I live in NC and we ship our pipe and fittings all up and down the east cost. We ship out about 10 truck loads a day.
Hi Mike! I am a retired art teacher, I taught HS for 20 years and started in 1974. My last 10 years I was 1/2 time. ( No art in our little town anymore!) I also worked full time at Rowe Foundry that closed and then was sold last February 22. I chose not to keep working after 38 years for the new owners. Now I sell used chainsaws ( Mostly Stihl ) and I grow Pumpkins. We grew 2,000 this year on 2.5 acres. We also own a guitar shop in Martinsville, Illinois called Cochran Guitars.and have been open since 2005. I had a Kubota 2501 and traded it in and got a new 2020 3901 in October. I got the quick disconnect bucket after watching how easy it was to use in your videos. I enjoy all your videos and have watched them all for the last two years. In my spare time I sell fishing tackle too!!! My wife says I really need to pick a hobby!
Retired for 12 years from a fine coated paper mill. Was a maintenance coordinator and worked in the electrical department on instrumentation, process control and most all things electrical. Became jack of all trades and maybe master of none. Enjoy playing on our small farm. Like watching your approach and technique in doing things. You are a great equipment operator. Wishing your family a great and safe New Year.
Morning from Caraway, AR. It's 37 degrees at the moment with a chance of snow today. I'm retired from retail. I enjoy working outside. I really like your videos. Have a blessed day
Hi MIke! I am retired from the Communication business. I started with my local Cooperative Telephone company in 1968 as a ditch digger, telephone pole climber, and repairman. At the time I started there were 6 of us with the company full time. I was fortunate to be able to work my way up through the years, although all I did was to do my job as best I could and do whatever needed to be done. All jobs are important! I worked my way through different jobs and positions and after years of enjoying anything I did, I became CEO. When I became CEO we had 32 employees and 13 years later when I retired we had 100 employees and we were the largest Independent Telephone Cooperative in the State of Iowa. I worked for the Cooperative for 43 years, it was a great life and I enjoy my retirement out here on my acreage with the horses and my Polaris Ranger 900xp. Thanks for the videos!
Retired from state of Mo. 35 yrs construction and maintenance. Spend my time now on family farm doing basically the same and loving it. Keep up the good videos.
I retired in Jan '20 from being an Electronics Engineer for the US Air Force, 39 yrs. I'm an avid vegetable gardener and kept busy doing that until late summer. I got itchy to get out of the house (work) and took a part time job at The Home Depot in Sept. They put me in the Hardware dept. which is not my forte, but I have learned a lot. They too are facing difficulties in keeping stock in tools. Some tools seem to not be able to replace quickly, some not at all. The finely tuned economy has been rattled for sure this year. Hoping for a better 2021. I'm preparing to get back into gardening, planning, building fencing to keep the deers out, so I'm quiting the part time job in the mean time. Enjoy your videos.
I was a deputy sheriff for 32 years until I retired. I did correction work, patrol, marine services, bailiff duties in superior court and aviation. After retirement I continued in aviation as the chief pilot flying their Cessna 206 Stationair for 8 years. 40 years in law enforcement. I had also done 7 years in the Army Reserves Combat Engineers during the early to mid 1970s. I have been retired for 20 years now. In that time I opened up a family oriented fun center. 9 pool tables, 22 ft. shuffleboard table, video games, ping pong, darts, pub grub, and over 100 different beers. I sold it several years ago. I no longer do a lot around my 2 acres in Twain Harte, Ca. which is located about 90 miles south east of Sacramento, Ca. in the Sierra Nevada foothills. I have everyone of your videos since you started on the mini cabin. I even went back to watch videos before that. So I'm patiently waiting for you to complete your family game room and shop in your new building. Get back to work! Have a day.
Retired now, I owned a small business installing draft beer systems, soda systems. I also sold soda syrup concentrate to bars and restaurants, I purchased the syrup from Al’s beverage company in Connecticut. I was a beer plumber.
Retired A/C and Heating Contractor. Reining horses, cutting horses and farming is my hobby. This now has, unintentionally, grown into a business in central Arizona and southern Oregon. I enjoy following your videos. I love learning and your videos have many great tips.

I'm a retired TV news photojournalist for a local station based in Youngstown OH. We're practically neighbors, lol. My father taught me all of the "finer things" and now I use that knowledge to improve our little 3 acre plot here in Northeast Ohio. Love watching your channel and others for better ways to NOT handle my firewood. I have a Kubota bx2380 with a fel and grapple, etc. When I'm not on the tractor, I'm watching you on yours. Keep up the great videos and so happy to hear your feeling well!
Good morning Mike and Family from east Texas!! I’m retired but have worked as an electrician helper, a welder & mechanic on heavy equipment. We are having same issues with building materials also and prices are higher than normal. The cut off blocks work great for stove wood can stack too tight if not place correctly. They also reduce the amount of ash left after burning. Enjoy your videos. Have a wonderful day!😀

Have a day.
