Bucket filter for a pool with well or dirty town/City water

- Today we are going to make a pool bucket filter to clean the water to crystal clear, often as fast as overnight. Simply by filtering it with pillow stuffing, you can buy through my links below or at Walmart on any other big box store. Here is a list of what I used. The brown discoloration in this pool is from an organic product in the water from the well called manganese. There are links below too should you wish to purchase anything from Amazon.
1 - 1/3 HP sump pump
1 - 1 1\2" Sump pump discharge kit
2 - 1 1/2" flex connectors\Furnco's
1 - bat of pillow stuffing [**Get the batting style not the loose**]
1 - 5 gallon pale with tight closing lid

This is so crazy it might just work! I've got some hella cloudy pool water that i'd love to clear up for the season. time to get a sump pump and get workin!
I have been cleaning my pool like this for almost 10 years. Doubled the size of the pool to this one now and still, same size sump pump, 1 bucket and it meets the demands. For me personally I find mine goes cloudy when the kids are in it all the time. Especially if they have sunscreen on. In the peek of summer I often run mine 24/7 but I also run it through a secondary solar panel to gain some heat too before it goes through the bucket. Good luck!
â@@JACKofallmasterofPLUMBI put in the bucket filter for my pool today. I didn't have to buy anything because I had all the stuff I needed at home. I used an old pool pump and a bunch of old towels. Once the pool is clear, I'm gonna make a water feature with the extra pump. This summer is gonna be awesome! Thanks for the idea.
@@BuuBot Thatâs awesome, even better you could make it work from stuff laying around. The sump pumps move a lot of water compared to a regular pool pump so might take a bit longer but it will clean it up for sure. Typically I put it on, wake up the next day to a crystal clear pool. Even after doing it for 10 years I am always surprised haha.
Obviously that works great and a great common sense approach. Too many people overcomplicate issues and cant see the forest because of the trees. I like your solution. Is the pillow stuffing some type of foam?
Thank you. No it is just pillow batting. You can buy it from Walmart or anywhere like that. It is kind of Fibrous I would say over foam. There is a link to it in my description so if you look at that youâll either be able to get it through that link or take a screen shot and be able to identify it at a store.
