Prolly more about the performance. I found the Wacken 2018 one to be better. This one is very good also, but it is hard to get the TArja one out of my head, especially the End of an Era performance. I do really like the rasp that Floor does in this one tho.
To each their own. ALL songs were made for Tarja after the first album so that comment means little, both thia and End of Era versions smash the studio version and this one IMO tops EoE simply by the band seeming a bit lackluster knowing they were going to sack Tarja within hours.

I'm freaking loving this! I thought Devil and the Deep Dark Ocean was an epic rocker, but this blew my socks off! Emppu goes monster-mode on this one! They all do. As for Floor... I gave up trying to describe her. Words don't do her justice.

Yet another live performance by Nightwish that is spreading like wildfire through YT's reaction channels, although it was released just yesterday. I don't mind this at all since I'm addicted to these reaction videos - so thank you for helping me get my daily dosage of Nightwish, the only narcotic substance known to man without any harmful side effects.

Floor suits the music and NIghtwish it changes all the songs still have all the old ones and listen in car and at home, but she has brought a whole new audiance which is great as keeps band hyped and enjoying the music hopefully they outlast me lol :-)

I like the original better but Floor makes this song her own and does a great job. It’s a very difficult piece for the vocalists and if you compare Marco he really struggles with it too. The ending of the original though was so perfect, so hard to duplicate. Nice that they gave it the old college try, but man... Tarja accomplished some great things as the lead vocalist of Nightwish. I respect her even more now

They are certainly coming out heavy with these video releases! I think after the more melodic, basically upbeat nature Of Endless Forms, there is an emphasis on the harder side of the band. A hint of things to come, perhaps?

Considering that the vast majority of the songs she has to sing were not written for her, i think she's doing just fine.

Floor doesn’t try to sound like Tarja, she really does make every song her own which is one of the things that makes her such a great vocalist.
