One is set in the East end of London, and the other is in Manchester or a suburb thereof. The London one would sell to the Yanks more. How many of them know where Manchester is and understand the vernacular.

I have read that it was shown over there prior to the nineties but the audience struggled with the Manchester dialect and the lack of glamour!
