OLD SCHOOL Treasure (and some JUNK) at the Nashville Swap Meet

- You never know what kind of treasure might be hiding at a swap meet. Without a doubt, my favorite piece at the AACA Stone's River Swap Meet in Nashville, Tennessee was a Hone overdrive unit, a VERY rare item that was in excellent condition. Other great pieces included some cool wheels, classic gauges, high-dollar intake setups and quite a few project cars. Projects included a 1970 Camaro Z28 drag car with an old school '80s paint job, a V8 Chevy Vega with a roll bar and slicks out back, a 1970 Dodge Charger 500, a 1932 Ford roadster, a 1935 Chevy round track car and a 1970 Plymouth Duster.
I grabbed a few items while we were there. I bought an Accel tach-drive distributor, a Moroso cable-drive tach, a 4-gauge pod with a pristine Stewart Warner Green-line water temp gauge in it, a pair of Fenton five-spoke wheels with brand new tires, an Edmunds Ford Flathead V8 dual-carb manifold and a few Hot Wheels for my boy. It was a great day at the Swap Meet, so follow along to check out some of the cool vintage speed parts that were up for grabs.

Nothing better than a swap meet with vintage parts 👍🏻🏁🏁
Great swap meet Tommy. Some great project cars and parts galore. Thanks for sharing. 💯👊👍💕
Love seeing
parts and remnants. Sparks memories of my Honest Charley days. This channel is the best.
As an Australian this is swap meet heaven!!
Swap meets are almost dead here and old speed parts are running thin on the ground.
You’d pay double the price here for almost everything shown.
Thanks for sharing.
Very cool champion. Love it. 👍🇦🇺
Love seeing your "fishing reports" from swap meets.
Love a good Swap Meet!!!!!!!!! 👍🙂
I’d really like to make it up to the Kyana Meet next month.
@@HotRodHoarder It's a good one
Awesome 👍
Nicely done sir! Those wide five wheels on 5 lug chevy adapters on the dirt car were pretty rare!
Not bad! That little white Duster had my attention! Not bad for $8k!
I had the exact same SW water temp gauge in my '63 Chrysler. Nice score!
Looks like someone tried to make a "General Lee" out of that 70 Charger. You could see the remnants of an "01" on the door. 😁 Very cool stuff! Thanks for sharing!
Better than a prius
That Hona-drive setup is by far the neatest, a little drool escaped from the corner of my mouth. ❤
These overdrives very rarely come up for sale. I’d love to put it in my Henry J project.
I remeber the Hone overdrive, I had a 67 GTO with a 4 spd & 4.56 rear end gear. I was in So Cal and cruz on the freeway and really wanted that OD. Great video, would love to cruz that swap meet.
Great video, thanks. That might be the same swap meet that Pudding Creek Rod Shop posted a video on recently. On that Dodge Charger, I'm not sure that is a Charger 500 because it has the 'flying buttress' type roof. The Charger 500s got a 'plug' put in that eliminated the roof buttresses and created a more flowing shape that was better on the superspeedways.
Cool pieces
Aw dang! I saw the "Charger 500" before I saw "1970"... ohhh, eh not so excited then. :D Had it been a 1969, well, now ya talking!
“But honey they were so cheap “😂
Yes! She’s learned to not even ask but O brag to her about my deals anyway.
The black Camaro drag car was familiar or at least reminded me of a car that ran out of my home track.
All these old school drag cars and the parts they used just shows the ground ROOTS of where drag racing started and they may be junk but those are more than junk because those the golden history parts from the original drag cars
Shelby offered that overdrive as a option in the mustangs in the late 60's watched a video of one with it in it
3:42 mr bill from old mans grage did a little story on them type of intakes.
Hell yea Tommy
Thanks man, it was a good one.
Man oh Man I would go nuts there , lot of good stuff
I will have to make it to one of the swap meets in Tennessee.
You never know what may come out of the hills. The thrill of the chase.
That 41 Chevy coupe is my old car from northern Virginia
👍
Thanks for watching!
What would be a ballpark guess price on my Sept.1965, L-88, open plenum, winters casting intake? I know there is one on the Penske L88 Corvette. I've had it on the shelf for 40 years at least. Thanks.
When is the next swap meet? I can’t find the schedule.
Race car
Man i got to find me a tunnel ram ive already have 2 holley 450 carbs
Tunnel rams are getting to be expensive swap meet material. Used to be able to pick one up for a couple hundred bucks.
@HotRodHoarder right I'll find one , one day lol
Thanks for watching!
too much chevy stuff for me,but im odd anyway.
