We were pretty poor growing up but my mom still found a way to buy Frank Thomas's 1990 Leaf card for $60.00 at the time. She just passed a month ago and still have that card. You were my favorite Frank despite me being a Red Sox fan!

Love that he spoke highly of Olerud - Thomas and John are two of my favorite players of all time.

Another really awesome interview. Frank Thomas seems like a very nice guy. Who knew 1 pack of 93 Topps could bring up so many brilliant memories and stories. Loving these videos where its not about the flashy cards or high value or any of that. Really taking it back to what it felt like to open packs when I was younger.

That one he blasted in the Home Run Derby in ‘94! 535-540 ft howitzer off the Will Clark banner off the upper deck while still rising!

The Big Hurt was robbed of a 3rd MVP in 2000 by the super juicer Giambi. His stats speak for himself, but it is incredible how many All-Star games he didn't make simply because of the cheaters that played the same position.

I love Frank Thomas! I sent a 1990 Topps RC to him, and he actually sent it back, signed, with a letter, and poster. I wore #35 in high school because of him. What a classy guy!!

Great interview. Got to love how former players when they open packs, how they bang the deck on the table like playing cards. I want to cringe but I love it lol

I met The Big Hurt 25 plus years ago and he was such an imposing figure physically but also such an amazingly cordial sweet man.

Big hurt!!! I have over 6,000 of his cards. Everytime I get one I don't have l, it makes me smile. While everyone else was following Griffey living in Seattle, I was a white Sox fan following Frank Thomas. Mainly because when I asked Griffey to sign a card, he said "no". Shm...

When Frank is flipping through cards, the deep respect he has for other ball players is refreshing. I'm tired of analysts (and fans) making it seem like if a player is not the best or doesn't put up big numbers, they can't play, contribute and have a successful career.

If Topps Project 70 Were To Come Back Again I Think Albert Pujols Should Have An 1993 Card Design With An Cycloptic Pedro Martinez Pitching To King Saladeen's Rendition Of Pujols
