WOW. The swagger of ray is truly one of a kind. Seems very cool and calm. Such an awesome man. So talented.
As a kid, whenever I'd see Ray Charles on tv performing, I would think to myself that he was going to fall off of the piano bench with all the rocking from side to side that he'd do. When he'd stand up, same thing. Just watching this clip, as Ray stood up from his chair at the end of the interview, I'm saying, "Get up Cavett and hold him so he won't fall. Ray probably had more balance then most seeing people!!! R.I.P. Bro. Ray.
I know what you mean. When I saw him in person in concert, I was astounded as to how impeccable his sense of balance appeared. Light on his Feet too!!😉
Ray Charles beautifully delivered 💜
A true genius. And to think, if the movie is relatively fair on depicting his life....had he not gone blind, had his brother not died tragically, had his mother not been so smart yet very tough on Ray. Would he have been Ray Charles or just Ray Robinson, that none of us would know from peter or paul.
My idol my fav singer always so smart and elegant RAY STILL IN MY HEART
Ray was clean from drugs but an alcoholic until about 1990 which is why he dies from liver disease. Just kinda ironic he mentions alcohol as a drug several times in the interview.
+slimedog I am certain the alcohol (along with the heroin he did) damaged his liver.
Agreed- one of the best artists of all time.
+Tysons Accosta Liver damage from heroin is unknown. Yes hepatitis (a kind of liver infection) is a communicable disease and sharing needles can communicate it - but that is NOT the same as saying heroin caused liver damage.
Ray makes me believe in a higher power...... godspeed Mr Charles.
Damn look at that shag carpet. Ray Charles is truly inspiring!
Ray's suit is everything.
@funkynotstinky i like the way he hugs himself after a round of applause
such an amazingly talented man! much respect, Ray! R.i.P
“What I’ve seen” 😂😂😂😂 I shouldn’t be laughing as hard as I’m laughing
