- Honda pioneer cabin lighting! I used nilight truck bed lights. They are bright! Cheap! And super easy to install.
Nilight Kit= amzn.to/36C9riX
Ground block= amzn.to/2GB4Lz4
Fuse block= amzn.to/30AfSzx
Note: You do not have to have a fuse block to install, you can hook straight to the battery since there is a inline fuse made into the nilight harness.

Wow. I just saw this video. What's funny is that I used these strips on my truck camper and they work great. I was (and am) getting ready to put these in my Pioneer for cab lights! Great minds think alike!
Yes sir they do. I love mine. This past weekend we used them a lot loading and unloading kids and gear. They are perfect for a side x sides and stick really well
Thanks for doing this video. I bought the same kit but just used one strip to go across the center of my P1K3 Honda hard roof. I ended up cutting the wires ahead of the push-button switch, added some 16gauge wire, and sent it to a switch on the panel I installed previously. This thing is BRIGHT and really lights up the interior of the machine.
As for sticking it to the roof, after cleaning with acetone, I used a very narrow strip of 3M Dual-Lock plastic velcro. It works great and is very secure.
Your welcome, I love m
these lights and I totally understand only hooking up 1. They are super bright.. Thank you for the tip on the dual lock plastic velcro. That will come in handy for people installing these in the future
Nice work. Ive done similar in boats and RV awnings for years. One piece of advice, after you stick the lights up, take some clear silicone and dab a little dot every 6 inches alternating against the edge on each side. If you do that it will never come off. It might not come off with the tape, but usually after a couple years it starts to come off in places.
Good tip! Thank you for sharing. Mine hasn't come off yet but I'm figuring its gonna happen soon. Thank you
Thanks!
Thank you Jeff, That's the first super I have ever received. Thank you so much
Hey pal I added the same lights this weekend and all I can say is WOW this is the way to go to add interior lights to a sxs I can see anything on any part of my Pioneer at night now. Only thing I did diffrent is I got rid of switch and fuse line since I'm running an Auxbeam 8 gang switch panel amd wired it direct. But I love it and thanks again
Good to hear. They are supper bright and I don’t know how I made it before I had them. Lol….. Totally understand on hooking up to the switch panel. I was gonna do that but I didn’t have a open switch to put it on. I’m glad this video was useful and I really appreciate you watching. Thanks for sharing
Great video! Just ordered my lights! Deer hunt opens in two weeks. I appreciate you sharing and taking the time to film the install!! D/
Your welcome and thank you. I wish i had installed these lights on mine before deer season! lol. They are gonna come in handy the rest of the season...Good luck this deer season and drop me a comment and let me know how your deer season going. Thanks for watching.
Great video. I think you did a real professional job here and I will duplicate this on my new Pioneer. Thank you very much for all the detail.
Thank you. I really appreciate it. You will love these lights. They are so handy and I’m going on two years with no issues. Congratulations on your new pioneer! Check out the rest of my pioneer playlist for more ideas and thanks for watching.

Thank you and thanks for watching welcome to piney life.
If I don't stop watching your videos my wife might ban me from TH-cam. I purchased a 2022 1000-5 in November and so far I have done almost everything you have. So far I have added gun rack, interior lights, side and rear lights, front led light bar, dual battery, front bumper, and mud flaps. I need to stop but I'm thinking the door bushing, and mid panel are next. I decided I've spent this much might as well spend a little more now and just enjoy it all. I'm from Clay County, TN, not far from you. You ever fish on Dale Hollow?
Hello neighbor! I got a good laugh out of this comment and it Made my day! It’s comments like this that make all this work worth doing. The videoing, editing and the entire process.
Sounds like we are a lot alike on our pioneers.
I have never fished dale hollow. Most of my fishing is done on watts bar and fort Loudon but I’m always looking for new spots to fish.
I appreciate the videos! I also own a Pioneer and have learned a lot from your videos! Thanks!
Thank you, glad you got something out of the videos. Can’t be a Honda. Thanks for watching and welcome e to piney life.
Well damn, I'll be looking at my roof on my Yamaha RMAX-4 in the morning to see how to run it. Thanks for the vids!
Your welcome. You will like them. They are easy to install and they work great. Thanks for watching
Very good idea! Thanks for posting.
Glenn Wheeler your welcome and thanks for watching.
Nice set up including the gun rack 👌
Thank you and thanks for watching.
Great light and a lot of it.Wow
Michael Hammett they are real bright and cheap. Thanks for watching!
Nice!! I’ll have some in my buggy. Thanks
Your welcome. They work great. Thank you and Thanks for watching
Holy buckets! I can't imagine a better result! What a great addition and great video! Just a slight correction though.........I'm sure the switch comes with the kit, so there is not much risk of getting the wrong one, but you kept referring to it as a "momentary" switch. That is actually a "maintained" switch. A momentary turns on when you press and hold it, and turns off as soon as you release it. Sorry..........just the electrician in me, coming out. Lol Subscribed!!!
Thank you for pointing that out. That was my bad on the wrong description.... lol... The end result is awesome, we have got to use it several times at night while packing up from hunting to head home. Glad you enjoyed the video and thanks for the sub! we really appreciate that and thanks for watching! welcome to piney life!
🏆🏆🏆🤗🙏
Thanks for sharing.
Rock lights work great too.
Thanks for sharing and thanks for watching
Nice addition
Thank you. I believe im gonna get good use out of them this season and hopefully many more to come. Thanks for watching
Piney Life I’m going to do the same thing but thinking red or green.
@@Cephous67 I bet the red would look good. I just got the white and as you can see in the video its bright. Honestly i probably could have got away with one strip light but the kit had everything i needed. If you do install red or green let me know how it goes. If you have facebook or instagram just hit me up on facebook piney outdoors or jamie nix. instagram @pineylife
@@pineylife can't find you either way. Must be hidden.
@@Cephous67 go to my you tube channel main page and at the top picture where kim and i are shooting the gun. right at the bottom of that picture click on the small facebook emblem or instagram it will take you to my pages. let me know if that works i haven't been able to find you either.
The only difference is that I will run my switch to a rocker switch on the dash. Just one question. How has the stips held up? Have they come loose?
Good idea, I just didn't have anymore room on my switch panel. They have not come off. Its been almost a year ago. cleaning it with acetone really helped it bond
Great video. Just wondering how the lights are holding up? Are they still sticking to the roof? I would like to install on my Honda in Costa Rica, but wonder if the heat would effect the lights from staying on the roof?
Thank you, so far they are doing great no issues whatsoever. Now i did install them in the fall so i haven't had them in the extreme heat. The utv has been out in 10 degree weather to 85 degree weather so far no issues.
Thanks, I enjoy watching your videos. Very informative. I purchased these and tried to install. I wiped everything down with alcohol. I couldn’t get the double sided tape to stick. I may try to get some 3M double sided tape to try that. Have you had any issues with yours staying where you placed them?
Thank you, mine has been on since the video and I haven’t had any issues. I got some 3m vhb from amazon to that was awesome. I used it putting new metal on my enclosed trailer. It stuck good. I also used acetone on my roof. But I haven’t had any issues so far. Let me know how you solve the problem. Thanks again for watching.
I really like this and I may do this to my machine as well. I'm just not sure how that tape will hold up in the sc sun. I haven't had much luck with any adhesive in my truck.
The best i have found is 3m vhb tape. that stuff holds up real good actually used it on a enclosed trailer that i redone and its still holding. Now these light strips didn't come with vhb. If ends up releasing i will redo the lights with vhb. Thanks for watching.
Sir I'm a big fan of your videos and I love your Pioneer...I had a question as I amm aswell a big hunter and will be adding the Seizmik gun rack to my Pioneer and wanted to ask you if in your opinion would I be able to add a sound bar on the that back roll bar where the gun rack mounts to?
Im not sure if the soundbar will mount up there with the gun rack....it would be nice if it would.
Thank you in advance and keep watching your videos!
Thank you Eddie, I really appreciate the support. As far as running a sound bar, I would say it would not be a issue as long as you adjust the seizmik gun rack towards the front bar. As you have probably noticed in my videos The front gun rack is pretty close to the front bar. I have no issue getting that gun out. On the rear gun rack I have plenty of space between it and the back bar... Most sound bars are tube clamp which lets them hang down a pretty good piece. So as long as you space your gun rack bars apart to except enough space for your sound bar clamps you should be good to go. Keep me posted on your pioneer and your progress
@@pineylife I will pal...
Thanks for the video. Been thinking a about how to get good interior light. Ever thought about wiring in a dimmer, to keep the brightness only to what you need?
Your welcome and thanks for watching. I will look into the dimmer switch because tonight when i came out of the woods from hunting I turned them on and boy they was bright.lol. It was nice being able to see everything but i probably could tone them down some. lol
@@pineylife kind of how I figured they might be. They look really bright and that will run in your night vision in a hurry.
What double-sided tape did you use for the switch
I used 3m vhb two sided tape but just about any two sided tape will work. Here is a link to the tape I use on most of my applications that need heavy adhesion. amzn.to/3ZFVoAS
How have these lights held up?
They have held up great. I have not had one issue with adhesion, switch, or function. So far I have two hunting seasons, one summer and they are just as good as the day I installed them. The adhesive that comes on them is great but I would recommend cleaning the top before install and use acetone or a strong alcohol so the plastic will be perfect for adhesion. Just ordered my dad a set for his hisun side x side and i will be doing a install video on his machine soon.
I noticed your rear view mirror, I’ve seen it on amazon and know it’s a little expensive, how do you find it looking at multiple mirrors linked in one assembly? Thanks
r. michael wilensky I really like it. From the drivers seat it basically looks like one big mirror. The multiple mirrors doesn’t mess with me at all. It really helps with backing up in the woods at night. It’s actually really cheap also. I give $19 for it on amazon. Look up 5 panel mirror for ez go golf cart. They are a lot cheaper for a golf cart and basically the same thing. Let me know if this helped and thanks for watching.
Piney Life thanks i found many choices in price but they all looked the same.here’s another question: how did you mount it? Did you go through the roof shade/top or hose clamp around the “L” brackets or .....? Thank you
r. michael wilensky I thought about using the hose clamps but I ordered a set of roll bar clamps with a drop down bracket. That helped with getting it low enough to be able to adjust it. I got the roll cage clamps from amazon also
Knowing how bright 2 are do you wish you would have only done 1?
Honestly one would be more than enough. These two are super bright in mine. Thanks for watching.
@@pineylife thx!
Where can a man get 1 of those hats?
Which hat are you asking about. The realtree hat I had on In the video was from Walmart or was you looking for a piney life hat?
@@pineylife a piney life hat. I sure wouldn't mind having 1. Them are good looking hats
