Yes, kids and teens do still wear crop tops. Everything is cropped. Which sucks when you're a short woman who normally buys clothes from the teen section because they actually fit your shorter proportions.
Why is that a problem, millions of guys find the little 'pocket rocket' proportions highly attractive. You should be very happy if you look good in a crop top.
This was my favorite of the South Park Paramount plus specials. It did everything that I want South Park to do. We have the satire and Randy being Randy but we also had the kids being kids learning more and more about our F-ed up world
The other specials were fun but got a bit hard to follow, especially the streaming wars. This was a very tightly paced and cohesive story in contrast and it felt so authentic to the show.
My only complaint is that the doctor went right to treatment. I'm a large guy. I could be showing up with a broken leg and the doctor will still insist the issue is my weight and then send me to physical therapy. I have so many injuries that have gone untreated and ignored and none of the doctors I've seen are even willing to give me an x-ray or a scan. I got a nasty tackle back when I played highschool football in 2008. Constant pain, can't lift anything more than 35lbs. First doctor I saw about it said I could never play sports again and that was it. Since then, it's been physical therapy after physical therapy with nothing being done to help or figure out what exactly is going on. It's gotten to the point where I'm worried about telling a doctor about any pain or injuries I might be suffering from because it's just going to lead to more physical therapy and assumptions that I need to lose weight.
Anyone else watching that Mad Max sequence and thinking how far they've come? Like, could you picture that done with construction paper cutouts, frame by frame? And yet, South Park still totally *looks like* South Park. Even if the updates are obvious side-by-side, they've never "lost" the vibe.

Try cutting while taking mk677, that's pretty much hormonally the equivalent to what morbidly obese people deal with when it comes to hunger. I'm not saying don't do the work but you gotta have a certain amount of empathy for people that hormonally can't stop eating without literally feeling like they're starving because modern diets encourage leptin resistance. Leptin is the hormone that signals "your full, you've had enough", it's also why ozempic cures gambling addiction but that's a tangent.

I can relate for I have to deal with the VA healthcare system. Now, most of the people I've met who work for the VA are good people, who care about their patients, and try their best. Most of the screwups are who I call the Bean Counters, the people upstairs. In one case the VA contracted a company in California, I believe it was called MSLA, who make appointments for veterans to see private doctors for disability examinations for the VA, to remove bias. This Company found a doctor, set up an appointment, gave me all of the information I needed, and told me to attend. Problem was, this appointment was in downtown Seattle on a Saturday. Never in my life have I ever had a doctor's appointment on a Saturday. It was NW Family Psychology in Suite 201. Still, I go and get to the office park, it's locked. A cleaning crew let me, but said that there was no one here. Not only did Suite 201 not exist, neither did NW Family Psychology. Since it was a Saturday, I couldn't call anyone to find out what the problem was. Monday I call the Company. They're confused. Then tried to mark me as a no-show, which I reminded them, I can't be a no-show, an appointment that hasn't occurred. They straightened the problem out later. Turns out, they got everything backwards! I wasn't suppose to go to NW Family Psychology, Suite 201, in Seattle on Saturday, instead, it was to Silverdale (on the west side of Puget Sound) on a Wednesday, NW Family Psychology in Suite 102. When I told the doctor they scheduled me to meet about this screw up, he rolled his eyes and said, not only was the Company making appointments at their own volition, they wouldn't tell his office they had patients coming, leaving them to be double booked. Not only that, I filed for travel reimbursement, and the Company said it would take 3-4 weeks to process. Two months later, nothing. Fed up with the Company's incompetence, I file a complaint through the White House website. THE. VERY. NEXT. DAY the Company calls me, and says, "We have your check, and this is your correct address, right? (It was) For some reason it was returned to us." Suuuuuuuuure. You just happened to notice that the day AFTER I filed the complaint. I lay this at the VA's feet because, they picked the Company, they paid the company, people complained about their incompetence, and VA kept using them. Another case, the VA has a program called the Community Care Network where they'll outsource healthcare to private doctors or specialists if there are no VA assistance available in your area, or available in a timely manner. The nearest VA dentist was two hours away, and the VA dentist, good guy, says they can find someone closer. Which they did. Found one just fifteen minutes away. *THE VA FOUND THE PRIVATE DENTIST, MADE THE APPOINTMENT, GAVE ME AN AUTHORIZATION CODE THAT COVERED ME FOR THREE MONTHS, AND TOLD ME TO GO THERE.* Emphasizing this for it will be important later. Do the appointment. Dentist says my teeth are good and to come back in a month for a cleaning. The VA approves. Come back and get the cleaning. In return the VA sends me receipts says they've paid the dentist, give me a break down of the fees, and said that I owe nothing. Good. Quick and simple. HOLD UP! About three weeks later, I get a letter from the VA saying, "We are not covering your dentist appointments on these dates, because we didn't authorize them." They just denied themselves. Thankfully the man who answered my complaint was on top of everything. Even put me into a three-way phone conversation with the dentist's office, and the receiptionist shows that the VA paid for it. After about an hour of digging, the man handling my complaint boiled it down to, either there's a glitch in the system, or someone upstairs is not doing their job. Because of this man, the matter was settled.

7:50 recently in an address to the speaker of the house, as reported by Forbes, 40-50% of all Medicaid(~400B / 800B) spending is overweight and obesity related complications and direct issues. Not only is this damning the people suffering from obesity and weight issues, but it’s also starving out the tax payer with many proposed taxes like Value Added taxes disproportionately affecting the lower and middle class that would be the combined working class.
THEY NEVER SHOWED LIZZO! The longer we went without seeing Lizzo, the more certain I was that Lizzo was going to be a big reveal, but no... the reveal never came. :(
Honestly I just watched it yesterday and I was honestly flabbergasted on how hard this went especially with my dad going to do it and the fact that he has been losing weight and doing the whole process makes me proud of him but at the same time scared at times.
I will argue that it's not about helping people starve themselves. Ozempic basically fixes leptin resistance. All your fat cells are always releasing a small amount of leptin, signaling your body to slow down on eating. In morbidly a beast people, this signaling gets all fucked up and they can pretty much never feel satiated. It's why when you watch my 600lb life they will start crying about starving after going 2 hours without food. To them hormonally they feel the same level of hunger as someone who has been fasting for days. You can fix this on your own by adopting a high fiber diet but self control is hard
That is crap. True hunger, the kind that leads to death, is incredibly painful. Not feeling sated and being in hunger are totally opposite things. Comparing a "hungry" fat ass to a person that is experiencing real hunger from starvation is insulting.
I love this version of South Park. Making specials instead of 23-minute episodes gives them time to dig deeply into a topic without rushing it. I would take 4 or 5 specials per year over full seasons.

what really stood out to me was the amount of pointed and obvious movie references that you only see in an episode every once in a while- usually they take a plot and parody it to oblivion but this seemed like a grab bag of full scene references (thinning, almost famous, interstellar, etc) i wonder if that says anything about the message they are selling or if its just something that comes with new territory/new writers etc, excellent episode tho felt like a breath of fresh air despite me loving the past specials and seasons spent all day yesterday refreshing J2C and blooms bc i needed to hear their thoughts lol!!
As a type one diabetic I hate anyone who has abusing it. Ruined the relationship between diabetes and insurance. And really put me ask risk. Thank you so much 😂 Special was fantastic
I do agree that obesity isn't a medical issue. More often than not, if a person were to change their eating habits and start simply going for a walk every day, the vast majority of people wouldn't be as big as they are.
I dont think its a medical issue because, unlike literally most medical issues, you did this to yourself. No one gets fat because of an accident or global pandemic, you get fat because of your bad choices
"simply". If it were that simple, then the current guidelines would already solve the issue. But this kind of advice is insufficient on a populational level. And it doesn't address the most potent contributors to our obesogenic environment on a structural level: the food-industrial complex, poverty, neoliberal policy. And obesity supposedly not being a medical issue doesn't make any sense.
@Yajoy-kh3kc aside from actual medical issues lime diabetes the only way you can gain excessive amounts of weight is to eat unhealthy and literally do nothing. If all I did was lay on the couch eat pizza, dorritos, drink beer, pop and play video games ya I'd be fat maybe even obese
I’m happy to know that this show is still going on, I would be livid if president Garrison came back, maybe the next season can lead into how his relationship with Rick is making Garrison become a better person, almost as if Rick is Garrison’s “Mr. Hat”.
I see obesity as a illness / disease. There is no reason why someone should look like that. It is sick and disgusting and shouldn’t be supported. But it also shouldn’t be hated on. Helping people become healthy without drugs is necessary
@fallon-1542 Yeah but generally it's because the person doesn't try to keep track of their weight and then once it gets bad enough, decide there's nothing they can dk

When Kenny was killed and Kyle didn’t say “You Bastards”, a part of my soul broke 😭
How about you lose weight?
Anyone else watching that Mad Max sequence and thinking how far they've come? Like, could you picture that done with construction paper cutouts, frame by frame? And yet, South Park still totally *looks like* South Park. Even if the updates are obvious side-by-side, they've never "lost" the vibe.

*THE VA FOUND THE PRIVATE DENTIST, MADE THE APPOINTMENT, GAVE ME AN AUTHORIZATION CODE THAT COVERED ME FOR THREE MONTHS, AND TOLD ME TO GO THERE.*
Emphasizing this for it will be important later.
