Indeed, looking so well was the first thing that came up.Nice guitaring. And maybe it's just better for me to hear this now at home or wherever I'll be sitting in my chair .
Even with the shifts in time signature, Jack plays so confidently. Such a world class musician and live performer. And the voice is just powerful and unique.
Billy Cobham on drums, David Sancious on one guitar, Clem Clempson on the other. David Sancious went on to play keyboard for Sting and Peter Gabriel. Clem plays the blistering solo on Jon Anderson's 'Olympia' from his solo album 'Animation'.
Oh man this whole concert is incredible. I've seen and listened to a lot of Jack but I'm seeing this one for the first time. What a band! And Jack's vocals are off the scale!
Wow wow wow! This performance is just phenomenal! The dueling guitar solos, jack’s vocal and bass riffs, and of course Billy’s mastery. The quality of this recording is also just another treat. These channel releases are just #1 every time! Thank you so much for keeping these memories alive in the 21st century!
A lively version FOR SURE! Just love Jack’s improvisation from 2:23 and onward, with a tight time lock over all changes of the 12 bar groove. And interlocking -with 2 screaming lead guitars in unison solos. The drummer creates leading offbeat lines that match how Jack sings the lyrics and that drum awareness locks into the bass fills, accenting Jack’s improvisation. Very good, thanks for posting this one.
I agree, but I also think John Entwistle was also a great rock bassist and I can't choose between them wgo was actually the best, so for me they were both the best and both very sadly missed. I was lucky enough to see John with The Who before he died. I know they have slight different styles and Jack learned on the double bass which John didn't. But imagine if they'd have had a "bass off", I think that would've been something
I was fortunate to see one of my original bass heroes, Jack Bruce, perform live twice, both times at clubs, from closeup. This band (Jack Bruce & Friends), Dec. 1980, at Toad's Place, New Haven, CT, with Billy Cobham on 🥁 (The GoAT). Also, around October 1976 (I think), I saw the Jack Bruce Band that was later featured on the album "How's Tricks?", at Shaboo Inn, Willimantic, CT, with the amazing young phenom Simon Phillips on 🥁... Jack, we miss ya. 🎸🎻 🎹 🎤🖤
........ooohhh mmmmaaaannnn !!!!!!!, i knew jack bruce was excellecnt, ya know, from cream....such a great suprise to see his talent, ability on display here, didn't know he does all that, i wouldn't expect anything less....god bless you brother........
Absolute legend! There was no need to be a "punk" to talk about politics. A gentleman taking the charge for those too busy with their hairdos at that time. Also, must have been a little too dangerous to play a song like that all dressed up in red... The advantages of being a true gray, and not giving a "F" about what they're gonna do about.
@@StanDupp6371 Yes Wheels of Fire Live is an actual live recording. They didn't start messing with live recordings until the late 70's. Same with Live Cream 1 & 2.
Jack Bruce was a great musician
Rip
Quite an understatement 😅
Still alive 🎉
That band was so sharp you could cut yourself! Absolutely wonderful to see and thanks for sharing
Great to see Jack looking so well and sounding great. Much missed, wee man...

Bruce's closing 3 versions of "I want to just show you what my politics are"! Perfect escalation to the crescendo. Masterful.
bruce and cobham, what a rhythm section!

Jack Bruce is my favorite bass player. Such a brilliant musician. May he rest in peace. Cheers! ✌️

Underrated singing, so powerful

Jack Bruce is the absolute greatest rock bassist who ever lived. You are missed

My alltime hero!!!
What a voice and bass player. Fucking legend.
The guitar work’s really cool, too.
Absolutely, magical master Jack Bruce.
Jack Bruce and friends at the harbor house in lynn.mass.best concert I ever saw
Possibly the greatest Supergroup of all time! Sensational!
Another magnificent upload! Thanks.
4 amazing musicians together on one of my favorite Cream songs.
Cobham was a monster.
Utterly and absolutely fantastic!
Such a powerful presence
This is HEAVY
This band should have been huge . I think they only made one album.
The floor is LAVA.
Super Group!
Thank You immensely
❤
I saw this line-up at the Santa Monica Civic
💗💗💗
A voice like a V-8 motor

Who is the fantastic guitarist that playes 1:s solo?
Love his voice….so sexy
Jammie ......
1:00 looks high as fuck
Who’s the black dude on guitar?
David Sancious, who went on to play keyboards with STING! An absolute prodigy.
@@ndlouderthe best musician to ever be in Springsteen’s band as well.

Eric and Ginger are missing. What is that guitar player doing?
He is getting a steady paycheck noodling on guitar. Not everyone can be a Joe Pass, Barney Kessel or Eric Clapton.
@@StanDupp6371Not everybody could play in Collosium either. Check out their live album.
@@andyshuttleworth8341 Most live albums are fake or doctored up in the studio. Do you really think Crossroads from wheels of fire is a live recording?

Abject nonsense.
jack and SRV have similar voices. anyone think?

Brus legendarni pevač i basista! Uvek je bio u punom sjaju i odskako od ostalih u bendu
The rest are amateurs compared to him
Bruce is decent here but the continued guitar dueling completely ruined it went on far too long
Guitarists are in the wrong key.CRAP!
They sound in key with the bass unless I’m going tone deaf LOL.
