In the episode Nightmare in Silver with matt smith he encounters remnants of the cyber war cybermen, so that takes place after this chronologically. Also the idea of the cybermen coming back is that no matter what or how, the destiny of humanity will always eventually lead to a version of cybermen, it’s inevitable, no matter the time period or universe. They are like the next evolution of humans no matter where. Missy made her own cybermen from dead humans in death in heaven, the fact that they looked just like all the other cybermen is probs due to marketing and budget. Unlike the daleks who are always just escaping their encounters with the doctors- tho there are different factions of daleks, some are time war survivors who listen to the dalek leader, some are also still being made on skaaro who are loyal to Davros etc...
So, now that the guys are finally catching up to Aaron and Melanie and the most current episode... Will that mean Melanie will join all the guys for future DW reactions?

I think Eric interpreted the Lone Cyberman perfectly and relied a bit too much on Aaron for the answers there. The Lone Cyberman's monologue at the start was about how an empire had fallen, the cyber empire, but it could be brought back by a believier. So yeah, he is attempting to revive the Cyber Empire before it fell by using the cyberium.

On the "Red Hair" thing: Brendan's hair growing darker as he grows up isn't impossible. I know because it happened to me. I was born with red hair, but as I grew up my hair gradually turned dark brown. Although the red can be occasionally seen under the right light and also in my beard.
Strangely enough, it's not their look I disliked(talking about 2013 Cybermen), but how they walked which put me off. Their arms kept swinging whenever they marched which just didn't work.
Volatile Pyrovile the stomach plate is new too, resembles more of a Knight look. Plus the arms and blasters are brand new as well as the legs. It’s a new design but one thats meant to be a “warrior” version of the 2013 Cybermen.

Day of the Doctor: Frozen in time in an unknown location Time of the Doctor: Somehow not frozen in time trapped outside the universe trying to get back in Hell Bent: Somehow back in the universe just hiding near the end of it Spyfall: Somehow now inside it's own "bubble universe" that's known and accessible to the Doctor/Master . It's not the changing status quo that bothers me so much as the lack of solid explanations as to how and why the planet's situation/location changed in almost every instance.
@@Zomdra Well you know how it is with DW... according to the classic show the universe is held together by some people doing constant math, Atlantis was destroyed 3 times in different ways, and Timelords alter between literal techno-gods and ditsy Roman-esque morons. The Timelords in general have had a bad run since 1969 - never been as cool as their first appearance. Rule of thumb for me is that Timelords and Gallifrey are always better off screen.

Oh I was so puzzled at this episode. My thought at the time was is Brendan something like jack who also gasps and then comes back to life? But... it was all so confusing. As far as what the status of gallifrey is “now” you have to realize the word “now” doesn’t completely work for gallifrey:). Remember the prophecy the time lords were afraid of? The hybrid will stand in the ruins of gallifrey? And we were left wondering if the doctor or “me” aka ashildr was the hybrid? Just remember the prophecy and how we always get them wrong

I thought this was an OK episode ..lots of setup with no answers. It’s one big chase from one planet to another which is enjoyable but not the most interesting . It’s still to see Thirteenth’s angrier side , especially when she snapped at the companions .. this series has given her a bit more depth imo and has felt more focused on her then the companions ( which was the case last season). This might genuinely be my favorite take on The Cybermen so far , I love the idea of a Cyberman fueled by hatred and anger and is basically a zealot ... it’s being executed well and the actor is good. Also great to have The Master back .. I have quickly grown to love Sacha Dhawan’s performance .

'Ascension of the Cybermen' was a really engaging set-up episode that kept you on the edge of your seat and got you invested in what's to come. This really elevated the Cybermen as a galactic, universal threat, and this story combined with the previous one, had the potential of joining alongside 'Tomb of the Cybermen', 'The Invasion', 'Earthshock' and 'World Enough and Time/The Doctor Falls' as one of the very best Cybermen stories. Just a shame the last episode squandered all that.

Didn't they mention it in Hell Bent that the Timelords managed to come out of the bubble universe, but the Master destroyed it while it was still in the bubble universe? So do the events of Hell Bent not take place 4.5 Bliion years later? Season 12 is definitely an improvement on season 11, but its's also the most annoying, in that it creates soooo many plotholes...for no good reason! Just you wait..the timeless child reveal is a-comin!
If Chibnall has any sense, he’ll retcon some of that as an alternate universe, or do some sort of backwards bootstrap paradox to fix the Gallifrey plot holes.

I must say that I'm slightly disappointed that nobody seemed to notice how Brendan fell straight backward off the cliff with his feet towards the cliff and head toward the ocean, but woke up with his feet toward the ocean and head toward the cliff.

I thoroughly enjoyed most of series 12. I can understand that series 11 wasn't the greatest & deserved the well needed criticism. But I don't get how people hate series 12. There are seasons & episodes I don't prefer or enjoy too much, but I don't hate them. Series 12 was a clear step up from series 11. If you can't admit that, I can't help but think you aren't being objective in your opinion. I hate how so many have to constantly post on everything Doctor Who related "CHIBNALL RUINED THIS SHOW", "JODIE ISN'T MY DOCTOR" over & over & over again.
Episode 1 - 9 was mediocre at best. Episode 10 was insulting. Spyfall felt like a satire, it completely ignored Missy's arc and implied that the Master is capable of wiping out Galifrey by himself. Also wiping out Galifrey, that's already been done. It completely ruins Day of the Doctor which is now only important for ruining the emotional weight of the Time War because bringing back Galifrey was pointless. Orphan 55 was boring, Can You Hear Me?, had a good first half only to ruin it by turning the bad guys into incompetant idiots. The finale chose to drop all the interesting cybermen stuff to deliver a powerpoint presentation on why the Doctor didn't choose to be a hero, that he's some generic chosen one and the most special person in the universe. The Doctor didn't become special through his choices, he just always was. They threw everything interesting about ascension of the Cybermen out the window to give us an exposition dump that doesn't affect the plot in the slightest. This ruins Fugitive of the Judoon, Haunting and Ascension of the Cybermen as everything they set up is ultimately unsatisfying. What you've got left is the Nikola tesla episode the only episode on par with Series 1 - 5 and the average episode Praxeus. Whitaker is admittedly doing better but Ruth Wilson immediately overshadowed her by being the Doctor for five minutes, Tosin Cole is a plank of wood. Yaz is still one dimensional.
No wonder the Cybermen have fallen. They killing humans instead of converting them. WHY?! Also Brendan's story is just a awful version of Donna's "alternative life" from the Library episodes.
I rather like season 12, but there’s nothing in here that outdoes episodes like Matt smith’s final trilogy, the magician’s apprentice/witch’s familiar, the zygon invasion /zygon inversion, or the doctor falls and capaldi’s final Christmas special. Those are all phenomenal, and nothing in series 12 has even come close except for maybe fugitive of the Judoon. Again, I liked it all, but capaldi set a very high bar.
Sigh...the fact the final reaction for Blind Wave is going to be The Timeless Children and they aren’t going to react to Classic Who makes me really depressed

It was Bradley Walsh flubbing his line. Ravio said "You are really strange", to which Graham's "Scuse me. I am the most normal man you will ever meet!" is a natural and logical rebuttal. "Scuse me, I'm the Doctor" (as some have speculated that he started saying) doesn't make any sense as a riposte to Ravio's mild insult. Besides, Graham's hesitation isn't in the script; it just says "Scuse me. I am the most normal man...", not "Scuse me. I'm the Do... I'm the most normal man".
the fact that most of this episode the guys were visibly bored speaks volumes about the season "ugh thats cg1. CGI fire, lame. Hey do that dog sound that sounds like a tai firghter reeeeeaaahhhhh'' I just popped on to see their reaction to the Master
Such a terrible series. David Tennant's Doctor has been to both the 52 centuary (new x 13 Earth) and the future-kind at the end of the universe, where there was plenty of humans, but here there is ony 10 left in the universe. Baker's Doctor told of the Cyber war and the cybermen were beaten (by the great named Glitter-Gun and Cybermen are only know as Gold-Plated Hat Stands) Lucky that the three remaining Cybermen found a ship with 100s of thousands cybermen on board, else just the three of them trying to take ove the universe might not go so well. I found Jodie's Doctor rude and boring in this episode/series. I did however like the retro inspired new Cyber-Warrior design, but the Irish guard mystery-box plotline was too confusing and tacked on. A bland setup for series finale (it reeks of "Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos") and the way the next episode ends (and the series) you realise this episode/cybermen/Brendan was a complete waste of time.

But I don't get how people hate series 12. There are seasons & episodes I don't prefer or enjoy too much, but I don't hate them.
Series 12 was a clear step up from series 11. If you can't admit that, I can't help but think you aren't being objective in your opinion.
I hate how so many have to constantly post on everything Doctor Who related "CHIBNALL RUINED THIS SHOW", "JODIE ISN'T MY DOCTOR" over & over & over again.
I liked 11 and 12.
Episode 1 - 9 was mediocre at best. Episode 10 was insulting. Spyfall felt like a satire, it completely ignored Missy's arc and implied that the Master is capable of wiping out Galifrey by himself. Also wiping out Galifrey, that's already been done. It completely ruins Day of the Doctor which is now only important for ruining the emotional weight of the Time War because bringing back Galifrey was pointless. Orphan 55 was boring, Can You Hear Me?, had a good first half only to ruin it by turning the bad guys into incompetant idiots.
The finale chose to drop all the interesting cybermen stuff to deliver a powerpoint presentation on why the Doctor didn't choose to be a hero, that he's some generic chosen one and the most special person in the universe. The Doctor didn't become special through his choices, he just always was. They threw everything interesting about ascension of the Cybermen out the window to give us an exposition dump that doesn't affect the plot in the slightest. This ruins Fugitive of the Judoon, Haunting and Ascension of the Cybermen as everything they set up is ultimately unsatisfying.
What you've got left is the Nikola tesla episode the only episode on par with Series 1 - 5 and the average episode Praxeus. Whitaker is admittedly doing better but Ruth Wilson immediately overshadowed her by being the Doctor for five minutes, Tosin Cole is a plank of wood. Yaz is still one dimensional.
I'm objective. Both series 11 and 12 were terrible. 11 was anti-climatic, 12 was anti-Doctor Who.

Also Brendan's story is just a awful version of Donna's "alternative life" from the Library episodes.

@@willowism i dont have problem with doctors. Peter is best doctor for me. But storylines are boring af. I just remember 2 episodes of Peter Capaldi.
I rather like season 12, but there’s nothing in here that outdoes episodes like Matt smith’s final trilogy, the magician’s apprentice/witch’s familiar, the zygon invasion /zygon inversion, or the doctor falls and capaldi’s final Christmas special. Those are all phenomenal, and nothing in series 12 has even come close except for maybe fugitive of the Judoon. Again, I liked it all, but capaldi set a very high bar.
Why are you wasting so much time talking about Cybermen when Brendan is the important part of the story?

What did you think of Graham misspelling and saying "Excuse me i'm the do... i'm the most normal block you'll ever meet". You think it was an error from the actor or is there something behind it?
It was Bradley Walsh flubbing his line. Ravio said "You are really strange", to which Graham's "Scuse me. I am the most normal man you will ever meet!" is a natural and logical rebuttal. "Scuse me, I'm the Doctor" (as some have speculated that he started saying) doesn't make any sense as a riposte to Ravio's mild insult. Besides, Graham's hesitation isn't in the script; it just says "Scuse me. I am the most normal man...", not "Scuse me. I'm the Do... I'm the most normal man".

the fact that most of this episode the guys were visibly bored speaks volumes about the season "ugh thats cg1. CGI fire, lame. Hey do that dog sound that sounds like a tai firghter reeeeeaaahhhhh'' I just popped on to see their reaction to the Master
Such a terrible series. David Tennant's Doctor has been to both the 52 centuary (new x 13 Earth) and the future-kind at the end of the universe, where there was plenty of humans, but here there is ony 10 left in the universe. Baker's Doctor told of the Cyber war and the cybermen were beaten (by the great named Glitter-Gun and Cybermen are only know as Gold-Plated Hat Stands) Lucky that the three remaining Cybermen found a ship with 100s of thousands cybermen on board, else just the three of them trying to take ove the universe might not go so well.
I found Jodie's Doctor rude and boring in this episode/series. I did however like the retro inspired new Cyber-Warrior design, but the Irish guard mystery-box plotline was too confusing and tacked on. A bland setup for series finale (it reeks of "Battle of Ranskoor Av Kolos") and the way the next episode ends (and the series) you realise this episode/cybermen/Brendan was a complete waste of time.
