I was living in Abeokuta, a student at Ogun Polytechnic when this album was released. Wonderful memories, and even more that was my first sojourn outside my comfort zone, Lagos. My fellow students and the serenity of Onikolobo made it an enjoyable experience. I remember Segun, Sekoni and several others. I wonder where they are now. Music has a way of reminding you where you were and the people you were with at specific time periods. It’s quite amazing you you think about it. That year was 1985 or 1986. That was a very long time ago. So many things have happened between then and now but we praise God for his mercies. Music is quite reminiscing. Don’t you agree?
that`s what his music always do to me. am 36, i`ve been listening to Barrister since i was 5 and being my my favourite musician in the whole world to the extent i had to go back listening to those he released in 70`s. I`m from Abeokuta . music also give u nolstagic and gv u joy
Was about eight when this music was released and love it like anything from then till now. Though am not a good dancer, my appreciation and understanding of yoruba language and culture endear me to his music and have been stuck since then. After Secondary school and throughout my university days i had just three musicians to keep me company. Barrister, Fela and Ayinla Omowura. These musicians were instrumental to my success in School.
As much as I tried to see Barrister live play I failed. Ogun Poly student union invited him in 1986. That would have been my opportunity to see him on stage. I bought the ticket alright and with my friends we got ready for the event. I can’t remember if it was on a Friday or Saturday, my memory fails me here. We set off at 9pm to go to the event venue. Unfortunately, and as nature would have it, a taxi I was flagging bumped into me and that was it for the night. There was so much blood that my friends and I had to return to our hostels. My friends made sure the blood flow stopped and then returned to their rooms. I only found at 7am next day that my friends went to the event. I was a little disappointed with them at that time, but time has healed the wound, and I would not have missed the occasion if I was in any of their shoes. So, if any of you is reading this, I would like you to know that you are forgiven 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

Alhaji Agba, continue to rest in peace.. You have taken the lead, others are still struggling hard to know the magic. Whereas no magic anywhere but due to your hard work and dedication.
