- Jim Root, number 4 from Slipknot spoke to me about his struggle with OCD, getting old, beeing a part of one of the biggest metal bands and his everyday life on tour. I also asked him to choose between one day with Donald Trump and one week with Nickelback on the bus - check out what was his answer ;)

The beard and the hair definitely finish it off. The mask fits the man underneath.

It’s weird, I like his WANYK mask, but I don’t really like The Gray Chapter mask. My favorite mask of his is the AHIG mask.
I prefer his ahig mask. Looked badass and kinda creepy.
I fucking love Jim, you can see all this shit hasn’t changed him like it has with some other members, he is a amazing guitarist and great on stage, and he goes out of his way to be nice to his fans and show his appreciation, he replies to as many comments on his Instagram still, definitely a member you can’t replace

Jim Root is my favorite rockstar on this planet. He is such a humble, genuine and awesome guy. His stage presence is just out of this world. He's the reason I started to play guitar!

I went to a signing years ago (Subliminal Verses era) and met all of them and they were all friendly but Jim was like the 'gentleman', he would really thank each person for coming in that awesome voice. Comes across as a great guy :)
Jim has always been my favorite member. Incredibly talented, humble enough to lay back and fit in his spot, but also incredibly smart and always has a very interesting take on the Slipknot anomaly throughout the years

Jim Root is so watchable. i could watch him for so long!. he is also very intellegent! "rock comes and goes every 10 years", he is not some asshole who keeps saying "rock is dying because of pop, rock is superior and pop is inferior", "nowadays music is the worst". he is such an inspiration!

Jims a huge inspiration, as a guitarist, an artist, and as a person.
I feel we’re incredibly alike, and if he can have this kind of life, so can i.
The sacrifices that bands and people like Jim make is absolutely huge like jim said he hardly spends time at home and that must be rough, these guys are the real heros! Their music gets us through our hardships as fans. So just a moment taken here to say thank you to Jim and all of slipknot for everything 🤘

Listening to Jim Root is so entrancing. He has so much experience and insight. It's like listening to your grandpa talk about his war stories.
He's my favorite member. Cool guy
Each member that Slipknot has had, has shown to be very well spoken, open minded and smart. It´s incredible to listen to these men´s music and then to listen to them speak. They are real artists. It´s not about metal, it´s about music at this point. They are one of those bands that have kept their voice loud and clear about their ideas on the world and music.
Edit: Unprofessional? nah, showing love for the band that you are interviewing is never a bad thing.

The first time I saw Slipknot was as if I had 10 cups of espresso all at once. I was breathing hard, my heartbeat was through the roof, and was just floored watching the pit. Amazing guitar players and to see Jim speak so humbly is just amazing. Such a smart well-spoken man.

I've been in the industry for my whole life and Jim is easily one of the nicest pros I've ever met.
I hung out with him in LA for less than 10 minutes one day after he finished a meet and greet with 100+ people. We talked about our love of Jazzmaster guitars.
I ran into him the next day and he smiled really big and called me by name. I was floored that he remembered me, let alone my name.
