@jermaineglover4043 Yes, I'm the same way because once you let them borrow money.Then you have to work them can't fire them to get your money back And that's a terrible spot to be in. Even if they don't Show up the next day im still trying to figure out how to get my money back..
I was weedeating a cemetary, a young guy pull in the cemetary. I never seen him before and ask if i would loan him 10 dollars for gas. I said i couldn't do that. but i would pay him 20 dollars if he would help me finish weedeating the cemetary, i didn't like 30 minutes being done. He wouldn't do it. I told him i couldn't help him and he got mad at me. I just shook my head and went back to work.
Sad what has been happening. We live in a world of instant gratification and if people don't get it, they're p!$$ed. As long as the money keeps going into your pocket, you're good!
I worked a summer when I was 16yr old for my uncle in the Tile and Marble business, I thought I was going to be above his other workers who have been working for him for years, my uncle let me know real quick that I was nothing to him and I better do what his guys tell me to do, his guys were my boss, at first I had a little chip on my shoulder but now looking back I appreciate him being harder on me than anyone else, I appreciate it now that I’m in business I can see exactly what he was talking about! I learned real quick how the work life was all about!
We were taught, keep your eyes and ears open and your mouth shut. Do what you're told to do. All of my great uncles were in the trades. Plumbing, masonry, carpentry, electrical, etc.. You wouldn't believe what I learned over the years. The majority of younger people don't have that drive anymore. They want, but are too lazy to work for it. We, as adults, have to try to do our best to teach this younger generation to get out there and get their hands dirty, no matter WHO they are or where they live. Little bits of knowledge go a LONG way!
@@louroberts5567 I agree, I can remember my grandpa telling me and showing me a small brick house he built, said he built it with very little to no help, I thought wow that’s a lot of work especially for 1 man to do, the older generation was absolutely tougher than nails, he was in Korean War, said he have to use motor oil as sunscreen, and he had many other stories that he told and I would just listen and say to myself WOW! If we had a generation now of what the older generation was this country would be in a much better place, now this generation has to much technology and iPhone ect. Turned the kids into little pussycats that scared to get their hands dirty.
For someone to even expect that is ridiculous. You are the boss and your rules are all that matters!
When I let people borrow money who worked for me they never showed up the next day so I don't let people borrow money anymore
