Hey, new fan! Love the channel. I also have a 1969 cutlass Oldsmobile. It’s been a long and fun project. Your video helps me with the courage to try to install brakes and suspensions myself.

Do you know what aftermarket controll arms that will fit My 1969 oldsmobile delta 88?

Doing the same set up quick question if you can when you say torque the ball joints do you mean the castle nuts on top of the ball joints and how much also you say you can torque the uppers that holds the shims fully without the weight of the car on the ground but what about the enda if the uppers on each outer side of that shaft bar

Yes I torqued the ball joint castle nuts to 55 lb. ft. The control arm comes as one unit with the shaft, so there is nothing to tighten on the outer sides of the shaft bars, the only installation points are where the shims are placed. I hope that answers your questions. Good Luck!

@@borgtriestofixit Hey Borg thanks for the reply gotcha on the castle nuts i was just watching your video again because i believe you said that on the upper control arm shaft one side is an offset side and the other for factory setting I've been eye balling the hell out of them and i think i can see i difference but yeah i was also wondering do the outside shaft bolts of the upper control arms need any torque and lastly what did you torque the bolts with the shims in it to and you say those can be fully torqued with the weight of the car off the ground correct

@@dewaynemitchell3931 I torqued the bolts with the shims to 80 ft lbs - and it can be done with the car off the ground. I didn't do anything with the outside shaft bolts

@@borgtriestofixithello borg got another qestion got the qa1 pro touring upper and lower control arms and the qa1 double adjustable coilovers with a 400lbs spring weight and i noticed the qa1 front spring is almost half the size of my stock spring the problem is no matter how much i adjust my ride height it seems to drop back down not lifting up much my compression is on 12 and my rebound is on 6 my upper and lower control arms as well as my sway bar is hand tighten until the ride height is good then with the weight of the car on the ground torque to spec i adjusted the ride height a little half way up the shock to any clues or should i adjust up some more

@@dewaynemitchell3931 that sounds strange for those shocks...whenever I have had issues like that, I call QA1 directly...they are very helpful with troubleshooting and have gotten me out of a jam in the past.
